Mayflies (2022)
Life is too short
This drama shows us life really is so short. The present day story was very emotional and raw however it was the flashbacks to their young lives which got me the most it shows how fragile and short life is and how we have to make the most of it. It shows how we take our friends and memories through all our life's ups and downs and how memories always stay strong in our minds. A tough watch but worth it a very strong cast and script. The decisions which need to be made are so hard for all involved and life impacting for all of them. Martin Compston is just such a wonderful versatile actor. Get the tissues ready for this one.
Bad Sisters (2022)
Sisterly Love knows no bounds
Being Irish it's easier to understand a lot of the cultural elements of this series that others may not get. It's so funny yet at the same time sad to see how one person could destroy a persons spirit and at times almost hard to watch but then you realise this can actually be reality for people every sad moment is followed by something to make you smile. I love how the bond of sisters is portrayed. Great acting. JP had me nearly going through my TV screen to get him myself!! Great music throughout at all the right moments: I really loved every part of this show. Sharon Horgan combines comedy and drama perfectly.
Nothing to Declare (2021)
Great for an 80s kid
In the 80s every Irish kid has a dream of what America looked like. This real life story of adventure and mischief is excellent. The lads are hilarious and seeing how simple life was back then makes me wish I had a time machine!
After Life: Episode #3.6 (2022)
Broke my heart
I cannot explain how much of an impact this final episode had on me I was still crying in work the next day every element of it was perfect. I just love the passion Ricky Gervais has for dogs. I will miss this show so so much.
The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (2020)
Heart-rendering and uplifting
The best music documentary ever created. The music the emotion is on another level. The compilation and story telling is outstanding.
Into the West (1992)
Beautiful Film
A beautiful heartwarming emotional movie. You will laugh and cry. A timeless classic one of the best Irish movies ever made.
