Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows (2005 Video)

This is a strangely sophisticated series for just kids! I am 24 years old and I loved it! Very nice animation with a very cool bad girl character. For once it's nice to see the female character (even if she's bad) as the strong one.

I feel sad, however that the characters from the original movie were left behind in the story telling. This whole story COULD have been used with the characters from the first movie. After all what happened when they return to their city? I feel sad that these characters are left alone while the we focus on the past instead of the future.

I hope this is not the end of this wonderful world of the bionicle. Kids need some QUALITY sci-fi movies and this is a great one to watch!

Urotsukidoji: New Saga (2002 Video)

great sex scenes

great animation and non censored sex scenes, which is basically why you want to see this movie in the first place Right? All I hope is that they continue with this series and give that lady daemon (who was raped by a male demon who got permission from her mother!) a chance to get back at her attacker.

Its funny how you can groan all you want about violent films but its quite clear that all the 'rape victims' are enjoying themselves.

This movie is better than the first in that it has better animation and sex scenes. However it is not as dark (story wise) as the original film or books. So isn't so much a 'horror' but more a fantasy sex film.

still at least akane has more balls that the old version. No girl just STANDS THERE while a teacher gropes her. she would scream and run away.

This akeane has grit and will be more interesting to see as more of the series comes out. (no pun intended)

Piglet's Big Movie (2003)

I saw the Disney's animated pooh stories as a child. Now I am old enough to have my own kids (I'm 24) and I'm so glad Disney has continued to make such lovely kiddy movies. There's really nothing to dislike when it comes to choosing something sweet, innocent and good for children.

the song are fun.

However! as an animation nut I am afraid it is a let down for an adult audience, fans or otherwise. As this movie is not really a movie at all but a series of short stories revolving around piglet. Still kids won't care. And the songs are nice. The animation is not improved from the TV series, but that's OK as its nice anyway. And little kids again won't CARE about movie quality animation. And that's what people need to realize. This is made for CHILDREN and not adults like so many movies are nowadays. Gone are the purely INNOCENT movie of our heydays. Like Dumbo and Bambi.

fans will smile, if your not a fan don't bother...simple as that really

War of the Worlds (2005)

If you want to be entertained then this is the movie for you!

Honestly there is nothing to complain about when it comes to the destructive action scenes. However the ending was too rushed.

In some ways its a pity they couldn't do a sequel and show how the rest of the world coped with it. As we only concentrate on 3 people all the way through.

haunting, genuinely scary at times and (for once) tom cruise was acting well.

A good movie. The aliens were also imaginatively designed as well.

a warning though. I don't know the rating of this movie (as I went to see it with the family) but DON'T bring small children to see it as some scenes WILL upset sensitive people.

The Passion of the Christ (2004)

a very personal movie

I really enjoyed this film

Glad to know those bible stories did not go to waste as I recognised all the places and bits of dialogue.

My only complaint is the ending.

I think it would have been better to see him rise into the heavens in a stream of golden light and have a quote out of the bible on the screen before it ended.

apart from that very good!

It makes me question wether or not his death was worth it! For all the awful sinners out there, was his pain worth it.

I don't feel worthy after seeing the portrale of his pain.

Don't go to see this if you are very sensitive. Several people walked out of this movie.

The devil was an interesting character. Played by a woman and very surreal. A good image if rather hard to understand in some parts.

What was the meaning of him holding that ugly baby? ect

I doubt non christians will enjoy this much. Because IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF BIBLE STORIES you won't understand the significance of what was happening.

For instance when they soaked a sponge in liquid and put it to his mouth. That was vinegar or salty wine in the bible. You would not understand that if you didn't know it already.

9 out of 10 for me.
