I Just Killed My Dad (2022)
Netflix gets it right!
I'm usually the negative guy. So tired of all the social and cultural platitudes in entertainment, but Netflix gets this right. No fillers or obnoxiously drawn out side stories, just a heartbreaking story with a triumphant ending. A point scored for humanity.
The Terminal List (2022)
Its good!
I thought the botched deployment scene in the beginning was hokey, but it plays into the story. Then goodness gracious it got real good! Don't sleep on this one!
Toscana (2022)
Perfect little movie!
It's a perfect little movie and the point made is lost on other reviewers. It's about soul. It's about slowing down. It's about the pursuit of happiness often leads us to unhappiness and what would really make us happy is right in front of us!
The Batman (2022)
You're kidding right?!
Absolutely horrible! The twilight guy is still the twilight guy but just playing dress up. The mopey emo Bruce Wayne is theatrical and overly dramatic. This generation of movie makers simply have to create something new. Reinventing movies that have been reinvented is just getting old. And it wouldn't be a movie in 2022 without the term "white privilege" being thrown in. No need for that garbage. And at a length of almost 3 weeks, well that's what it felt like, it's way too long. The cheesy dramatic 50's style Hollywood movie music in the weird romantic scenes was the icing on the cake. Enjoy!
SEAL Team: Violence of Action (2022)
Unwatchable!!!
Show could rival Dawson's Creek on the "CW" channel. And the military advisors? Are they gone! The show has turned in to a civilians interpretation of what military drama looks like. These episodes could've been written for the 80's hit show "The A-Team."
SEAL Team: Man on Fire (2021)
A soap opera
This show was so good. The acting, dialog, weapons handling and scenarios were very believable. The personal issues that the individuals were dealing with were also very real. But then something happened. Hollywood happened. The constant second guessing, whining and bitching between the characters to create tension is a major problem. It cheapens the story and made this phenomenal show a soap opera. Ray's character is becoming increasingly unwatchable. Nearly every scene is him approaching another member second guessing someone. Did the military advisors all go home?!
