Equus (1977)
Don't listen to that other person
Now I realize the other commenter, and I'm sure there are many said that this was a horrible film, and portrayal of the play. Yet it is all the contrary. This film was wonderful, wonderfully acted and one of the few films that could successfully do a voice over in a film, which is always dangerous. The film follows the play very well, and does a very good job following it. Peter Firth, is wonderful, and along with Mr. Burton. A fantastic movie and play, I suggest you see and read each one.
The story is about a boy and a horse, yes, sounds cheesy, but not at all. The story take s you through a psychiatrist analyzing the boy, Firth, and through the mind of Firth.
Interiors (1978)
Drama
Allen's first drama is pretty good I say. he uses no special effects or music from what I noticed. It's very interesting to watch. Yet I will say that there is little lighting, and near the end it can get confusing to tell what is happening exactly. But all in all the lack of effects does it's job, and does it well.
The film gives a peak into the human life, not necessarily the average human life, close. The story of a family with a mentally unstable mother, you could say, but she is not really unstable, but delusional I guess. Anyway, if you like Woody Allen, for more than his comedy, I suggest this movie.
Tart (2001)
HIlarious
If one is to watch this movie I suggest you get a group of friends and prepare to laugh. Though not intentionally meant to be funny, I would suppose, Tart is the funniest thing I have ever seen. If you like jokes about poop and strange men getting coke for kids you will love this movie. Mischa Barton is also in this movie and does a stunning performance. The catcher below the title should tickle your fancy enough to make you watch this, "Sex, Drugs, and Study Hall" If you haven't already seen Tart then you best get out there right now and rent it, and if you have, well join the club of fully satisfied costumers.
Pane e tulipani (2000)
Quite Good I must say
Bread and Tulips is a movie set in Italy about a woman who experiences her independence. It is sort of like the book, The Awakening, don't get me wrong, but it does have a similar plot to it, though set in a totally different period. This movie is a quirky tale, however, and quite upbeat as you meet several spunky characters, and are driven through Venice and all that it has to offer. The movie has a comfortable feel to it, and an up-beat nature, as it starts off with the main character reaching in the toilet. When I say starts off I mean, within the first ten minutes. Excellent movie for those rainy days, and I highly suggest it.
Beautiful People (1999)
Excellent Movie
Excellent movie, although the cover, I will say, is deceiving, I suggest everybody see it. And it involves British people, how can you resist that? The movie takes place in England, and revolves around many persons and families, all going through some sort of turmoil. I can't really remember what specifically, but I do remember that in many instances it revolved around war and conflict between races. Quite a good movie, and that's all I have to say. Thank you I need 10 lines, sorry. My god, why do I need ten lines of text, I have nothing more to say, stop reading from hear on out, because the rest will be rambling. I now understand why people Go ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh because they bloody need ten lines to fill, these IMDb bastards, but not.
