Big Sky (2020)
Didn't need 3 seasons
Well the first season was definitely the best. The story about Ronald was interesting and kept you intrigued. It started some what okay in season 2, but slowly started to get, well, boring. I did like the teens and the story around them, but the show couldn't keep my interest even though some of the actors did well, others not so much. I don't know what the point was with the last season. I got tired of the whole cartel thing, a lot of the episodes felt the same.
For me Ronald was the show and once he died, there wasn't much point. A pleasant surprise though, was the story around Jerrie. I quite liked her.
The Babadook (2014)
Boring
Everyone seems to love this movie, which I don't get at all. How can anyone give this crap 9 and 10 stars?! The boy is so annoying no wonder the mom has a mental breakdown.. The movie never gets scary.
The book was disturbing, but not scary. I hated that the cute dog died. Why can't they make good movies without an animal dying?
I think 'The Bogeyman' is a much better movie.
They just don't make good, scary movies anymore. I thought this one was stupid and boring. I guess the actors did a good job, but this is a movie I could not finish. I wish I had not wasted my time with this one! Never again!
Roswell (1999)
Awesome
I loved this show from the very first episode until the last one. The actors are just perfect for their roles, the plot is so good and romantic, and I loved the music as well, so much I bought both the DVD's and the CD. Just perfect. I wish they had made more episodes of what happened as they got older, instead of making a new show with other actors and a completely different plot. Why? Why would you go and do that when the first one was so great?! I am now in my 50's and still enjoy re-watching from time to time. If you like sci-fi, I highly recommend this series. It's definitely not just for teens.
Medium (2005)
Re-watching 2022
I do like many of the episodes, but forgot how annoying some of the characters are, I guess that's good acting (or bad casting? Middle child ugh!). They keep questioning Allison's dreams (her husband too, and he sulks whenever it doesn't go his way. More ugh!) even after she has proven herself many times. Poor husband doesn't get enough sleep, Allison gets upset if he doesn't wake up, or is too tired to talk.
I got tired of Arquettes fake crying and shrill voice, I don't think she's the right choice for this role. Ariel, Devalos and Scanlon are my favorites. They also have some pretty cool gueststars on the show (some of my favorites were Ryan Hurst and Molly Ringwald). I get that Ryan wasn't available in the end, but why did they have to choose Arquette, who is almost 20 cm shorter than Hurst?! Wasn't it enough we had Rosanna Arquette as a gueststar....
It's supposedly based on the real Allison Dubois, but when you look her up on the internet, the police actually denies that she has helped solve any cases what so ever, and she has failed several studies of her, which makes me question her abilities altogether. I'd rather watch Ghost Whisperer based on Mary Ann Winkowski.
