Sound of Freedom (2023)

A must see movie

I do not know what is going on, however this is my 3rd time reviewing this movie, 1st and 2nd review just vanished out in thin air.

When I watched the movie the theatre was packed, this movie will touch you emotionally, so be prepared, bring napkins you will need them. This is a well produced movie, great acting, especially from the children, incredibly well done all the way and when you know it's a true story you realize what a dark world we live in, there is no way around it, you can't ignore this topic after you leave the theatre, this movie will hunt you for a long time, however it will also bring joy as we know we can do something about it if we all recognise the problem these children face in the movie.

Go and watch it, you will not be disappointed.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

Holy moly, this is a gorgeous action flick

So you probably watched IM 6 and said, they can't make it any better can they? Or Top Gun 2, guess again, this is an adrenaline action movie with a good story, well written, action scenes that just blow you away, not a boring moment and you are on the edge of your seat all the time, this is how you make movies! Tom Cruise did it again, WOW!! It's an exhausting ride he takes you on, man I forgot to eat my popcorn and by the time i finally wanted some my wife had eaten all of it, but hey I was so immersed into the movie that time stood still and i forgot everything around me.

Go and see it, this one gets my full recommendation, the only reason it's not a 10 is due to the fact it's not a completely new type of movie, however this one is done as a good action movie should be made, i don't see how they could have made it better, I really can't, go watch it and have a good time while you do it, it will put a big smile on your face that's for sure.

Extraction II (2023)

HEY He is Back and now he's mad ....

Well, the headline should be said with a 80's narrative voice, there is nothing in this movie we haven't seen before, pick you favourite 80's action hero movie, pop some corn, grab your wife or GF tight and lets get into it shall we!

So if you didn't watch the first one I would say STOP! Go no further mate, you need to see that first one, not because it's a complicated plot (spoiler it's not) however it will give you some important background details for the evolving story.

This is a hack and slash story, the action screens are tight and well done, acting is good enough to move the story forward, and they even managed to add a nice twist to the story, i wont spoil it here.

A no nonsense action movie you can watch with your teenager kids, without the need to explain why a man with a beard looks likes a woman or why a 50 pound "person" (need to be political correct here) can take down 20 grownup men.

Watch it and enjoy!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)

Horrible final chapter for Indy

What a waste of time, watch it when it's on your streaming channel, the crystal skull was bad, this one surpass Indy's last "adventure".

The fact that they had to reedit the movie several times and redo some of the scenes tells you all you need to know. The old magic is gone, and you would be much better off by rewatching 1-3 and call it a day.

The whole plot is poorly written, the story is all over the place, same old Nazi vs Indy we have seen many times, it's not just Indy who is getting old, the plots they come up with is apparently written by 12 monkeys locked into a room with one typewriter or AI who knows?

As I said, wait for streaming, get a case of beers with a high alcohol content because you will need it to get through this train wreck of a movie that should never have been made, I'm sure all the bots will be out and praising this wonder piece of a cluster#F and it's your money so by all means go watch it if you feel lucky, I'm going to wash my eyes in bleach and knock down a bottle of jack so I can forget I ever watched it.

Hirokin: The Last Samurai (2012)

From Bad to terrible!

I must say that Sci-Fi B movies is not all in the toe crunching class. But this movie is really terrible; I know that the budget was low but come-on! If you can't make a decent CGI in the year 2011 don't even attempt to do it. In the 80'ties there were a lot of movies in the "atomic wasteland Mad Max" category, this one will fit nicely in the row of movies that failed to get past the firing ramp. I watched the movie in 1080p and it didn't help much, so if you love Sci-Fi B movies you can give it a try on day, if nothing else come to your mind.

The scenery was great, and the fighting scenes were "sort of" OK, but everything else didn't deliver the silver screen magic at all. If you decide to watch this one don't expect anything, then you wont be disappointed.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)

Horrible!

I love the Marvel comic Ghost Rider, this movie is really something i want to forget. The music in this movie was terrible, the story was so and so, but the way this movie was shot was really awful!

The character Jonny Blaze aka the Ghost Rider could be a cult movie but the director made a complete mess out of this one by using B movie technique from the first chapter on. The first Ghost Rider movie earned enough money to become a blockbuster so there is no reason to make a movie that have the look of a low budget sequel.

The producers really need to get better directors if they are going to make a 3rd Ghost Rider movie.

I send this one back to hell and the drawing board.
