Gone Girl (2014)
Becoming an addiction !
Normally, I don't really like Fincher as a director though I've watched all the movies he shot but Gone Girl is an exception.
It's well-paced and satisfying movie about a bit of everything. In terms of cinematography, it's flawless and acting is awesome. I think this is Affleck's best work so far ( I don't like him acting) and Rosamund Pike is awesome. I even hold my breath in her scenes, she is so much Amy Dunne that you can't believe she's acting. She is amazing. For the first time, I acknowledge her with this.
After all, you can watch this over and over again like I do by seeing it thrice in a week :)
Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
The gem of 2012 !
I simply adore this movie ! It's not just a romantic comedy, it cannot be underestimated cause there is a lot to get from this movie.
Firstly, Matthew Quick wrote an amazing book and the movie is nothing but a perfect adaptation of the book.
The best ensemble in a movie for such a long time. Bradley Cooper is amazing, catchy and shining; MR.DE NİRo to be respected cannot be assessed by me, Jenny LAwrence's best performance ever, Jacki Weaver is simply a star and greatest Australian actress, Chris Tucker makes the movie fresh and Anupam Kher is just enjoying to watch.
What can I say ? 8 Oscar nominations, 4 Globes, 4 Sag and ^3 BAFTA. There is nothing to say anymore. Please see this movie, read that novel and start to search for your Silver Linings !
One last word: I LOVE PAT !!
Shame (2011)
Watched, But Not Forgotten
Dear friends,
Once upon a time, there was a guy who went to theater to see a movie called Shame. When he did, he was astounded by the story, the purity of the characters, the tone and the message and this movie changed his perspective immediately.
But somehow, he forgot his beloved movie and after a year, coincidentally he watched it again with a friend an remember what a jerk he is.
Nevermind. I am great to have such a movie in the history of movie- making because it's beyond excellence. Steve McQueen did an amazing job and created one piece of work that'll survive forever because I believe I'll watch it after 50 years from now and recommend it to my friends and even to my children. Why ?
1 - The plot is pure, realistic and sad.
2- Mr. Myheart Great Big Fassbender ! He deserved an Oscar with this.
3- The rhythm of the movie.
4-The message beyond every line, every scene.
5-Consisting of pieces and becoming one in the end.
I adore the movie. I adore Fassbender. Please watch this movie over and over again. And think. We can really associate ourself with Brandon somehow.
Thank you Steve ! God Bless You !
Weekend (2011)
The best movie ever !
For a long time, I've been looking for this movie because when I saw rate of the movie on IMDb, I just simply became interested. Then again, my hopes were limited.
Yesterday I bought the film and watched it at midnight. When the movie was over, I just couldn't move... It was moving, compelling, sad and hopeful all at the same time. It's saying a lot of things on which you need to contemplate.
Tom Cullen was just AMAZING because he portrayed Russell just perfect and nothing less. And I'm also surprised to find out that Russell is not similar but just exactly like me or he is me. Andrew Haigh created a character which is me.
Ignoring this detail, the movie is the best of the year and one of the very few gay movies that can touch to the bottom of your heart.
Please watch that movie and like it because it's likable and I assure you, you cannot forget it easily and want to watch it over and over again...
