Falcon Rising (2014)

Predictable!

Very, very predictable. There's actually nothing in this movie that comes as a surprise or you can't foretell.

Very cliché also. The language, the face expressions, the story and even the small, pretty bad jokes.

So is there anything good with this movie? Well.. the acting isn't terrible all the time and some of the actors are actually good. I know some thinks Mr Michael Jai White is good but take one more look and you realize he's doing the same thing he did in any other movie, he looks serious and sounds dangerous.

But the choreography in the fights are nice and if you like to see just a simple action movie this is watchable. That's the extent of it's value though.

Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008 Video)

Nice, very nice!

Well.. when I was thinking about writing this comment I came to the conclusion that I could make it a VERY long one!

So, I'll get right to the point and try to keep it short.

First of all, I was not expecting anything from this movie. And I was actually very concerned about Corey Feldman being in the movie. But to my great surprise he was actually very good. That did a lot!

This movie has a lot of the feeling from it's precursor but it also has a lot of new and dare I say, improved sequences. The gore has been turned up to almost splatter flick status and also you get a little bit of Asian horror movie feelings from time to time. All that mixed with the original idea of Lost Boys is a masterpiece.

All and all, I gave this movie 9/10 even though the plot might be a little too close to the original.

Watch it, it's time well spent.

Mammoth (2006 TV Movie)

Bad

Well.. some out there is comparing this movie with other sci-fi channel movies and thinks that compared to them this is not that bad. I love sci-fi, but not sci-fi channel so usually I try to avoid anything of the sorts. So maybe they're right.

But to the core. This movie is bad, really bad. And claiming that the humor makes up for the bad acting and extremely poor effects is a joke.

Summary: bad acting, bad effects, bad "jokes". This movie is bad by all standards according to me. I do not think they've managed with any aspect at all. Even if it's not meant to be taken serious it still don't do anything for me since the idea of a good horror/comedy is based on some good acting working together with the humor (ex. Critters and Gremlins).

Short summary: bad movie, don't waste your time.

2012: Doomsday (2008 Video)

Yukk!

Well, all the other user comments certainly speaks for themselves. I'd just like to express some feelings so that I don't explode.

I am not sure that that I have ever seen a worse movie. The acting is a COMPLETE disaster. I am not kidding. And I am most disappointed in Dale Midkiff who actually made a few good roles, in "Pet Sematary" to name a really good one. In this movie he's just as bad as the rest of the actors.

And finally. The directors name is Nick Everhart, a name I will remember so that I don't accidentally happen to see any one else of his movies. Cause if I do, I will have to knock myself in the head real hard with a baseball bat. How does he even dare to have his name visible? My only guess is that he don't like his job. Well, I think he solved that problem with this "movie".

The Marine (2006)

Unrealistic

Well. I am not sure if I have ever seen a more unrealistic movie. Some of the actors, including "the Marine" is actually quite good.

There is nothing unique about this movie, we've all seen it before. The explosions are big, very big and in no way dynamic. Sometimes a bottle of gas explodes like a nuclear bomb and sometimes like a 4th of July fire cracker. One scene that was particularly frustrating because it is so unrealistic is when "the Marine" is chasing the bad guys with the police car. The fire endlessly at him and the car and not one of the tires explodes. Nor does any of the bullets hit him, except for when his holding up a kevlar west in front of him. It's just too much for me. Sorry.

To sum it up; this movie is bad even for an action flick. Never the less, due to the acting and the brutally bad humor, it's kind of an okay time killer. Atlest with a few cold ones in your belly.

Ice Planet (2001)

Good movie.

I will not write anything about the plot here at all.

I think this movie has it's flaws. The budget seems low and the cast is far from excellent.

However, I think the movie is kind of great. The story is a mix of a lot of movies like Alien, Predator and 2001 for instance. But they did a good job with what they had on this movie and I really liked it.

Keep an open mind about actors and budget and you will have a good time. They managed to create a mysterious mood through out the whole thing. One thing that strikes me is that they probably had big problems but still managed to get some of the strange mood you get from the movie "2001".
