Serenity (I) (2019)

When I went to rate this movie I thought "8 sounds good". IMDb wanted to show me what other movies I've rated 8/10... Mother! was one of them. How insanely fitting. As another reviewer put it, this film was all about taking chances, and I'm so glad these actors took a chance on this film. It's not for everyone, but if you were into Mother! you may just be open-minded enough to like this one too. I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like Serenity. I'm glad I saw it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Some of the hate for this film may come from the fact that certain viewers aren't sure how to react to any mention of/ joke related to the main character's physical handicap, but that's on them. It's not that I blame them for potentially feeling uneasy over the touchy subject, but I thought the film handled the subject matter quite well; and Cranston, Hart, and the rest of the cast all turned in great performances. I laughed, I felt, I even teared up.

Should've known this movie would suck when I saw Machine Gun Kelly's ugly ole mug and giraffe neck on the screen.

My favorite part was when the lady climbed into the burning car. 2 stars for the lady who climbed into the burning car.

This movie is MommaMia Pizzeria times a billion!!!

It's the cats meow and da bees knees!

I had never danced before and I stayed up all night after watching it doing the spicy mamba and sautéd mushroom!

Brokered my leg by falling down the stairs but this movie was so inspiring!!!

Give it a watch and a thumbs up!!

Halloween (2007)

Doesn't age well

When this movie first released, I thought it was one of the best and scariest horror movies I had ever seen. With the hype of the new Halloween movie releasing this year, I decided to go back and give this a view after at least 10 years since... Maybe mostly due to the fact that I'm older now and have seen many films in the last decade, some great some not-so-great, I would put this in the not-so-great category. The first half of the movie I found completely boring, full of unneeded terrible dialogue and acting, and even a rape scene if you're watching the directors cut. The second half of the movie, while much more interesting, seemed mostly like an excuse for more violence, a Rob Zombie selected soundtrack, and nudity; although admittedly with better acting. While the idea of Michael's backstory is an interesting concept, this version depicts Michael as a completely heartless killer; murdering the innocent psychward guard in the first half, and later attempting to murder Dr. Loomis... It's like the first quarter of the film wants you to sympathize with young Michael, but any other scene leaves Michale completely uninteresting as he becomes merely a vessel to deliver more gore and violence. For so many years I've called this movie "my favorite Halloween"... Nothing will ever be as good as the original.

I'm leaving this 10-star rating/ review in hopes it will help lead to a second season! This show is amazing. Go into it blind and with no expectation if possible.

Café Society (2016)

Just ok

Just an ok movie, but still glad I gave it a watch. Any time I get to see Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart light up the screen together is time well spent, even if the movie itself is a bit lacking. Entertaining throughout, but it left me with a bit of an empty feeling inside. Watch it if you love Eisenberg or Stewart, or Steve Carell, Blake Lively, or Parker Posey.

Me Before You (2016)

Deeply dissatisfied

Sucks donkey dong. The main girl only likes fashion and has the personality of one of the bricks on my fireplace. In fact, I would rather hold a conversation with one of the bricks on my fireplace than with her. Also, they insinuate being paralyzed is so awful that Will decides to off himself. Life can still be enjoyed for other reasons. But I would have offed myself too if I were him getting stuck with that bumblebee tights freak. Loser mcpoopy pants. Whatevs. I forced myself to finish the stupid movie and then sat and reflected on how deeply disappointed I was that I wasted my few hours of free time not at work or doing errands on that piece of rat crap movie.

Nailed It! (2018– )

Not good. Not funny. Not entertaining.

Very boring, slow paced show where the creations aren't funny because it is the same "fail" every time. Knowing the punch line of every joke gets old.

On a scale of 1 - dog turds, I give it a "watch Sugar Rush instead".

100% Hotter (2016–2018)

Only one style is accepted as good looking by hosts

The hosts don't even seem to have the best style themselves but knock everyone else's style down. The lady with big fake glasses and huge bangs could use a make over or "make under" as they so fondly say but she's the one saying everyone looks horrible. They also comment on everyone's horrible fake fans (which yes are pretty bad) but doesn't the make up artist girl see her own orange Oompa Loompa tan?!? But all in the all, the show is decently entertaining and some of the girls and guys they make over are really fun to watch and super nice and it's interesting to see different styles.

Cheesy as your mom's spaghetti

If you could get a time machine and go back to when this movie was originally released, it'd probably be pretty good. But in 2018 it was as cheesy as your mom's spaghetti.

The "twist" at the end was predictable and no twist at all. Boooo
