Fear Island (2009)
Unexpecting!
I'm a person who likes TV movies, but if they're cheesy and horribly acted i usually turn off the t.v. Not in this case. I watched it with my brother last night and he loved it! (odd. He never likes my type of movies) This movie drew me in from the beginning. The music was amazing and the suspense even more. Haylie Duff proves that she's a great actress and the supporting casts are pretty good too. As a Christian, I'm not fond of cursing and sexual content in movies, but it was manageable and nothing graphic. Teenage stuff. The twist at the end was awesome. I have to watch this movie again just to make sure. In the end, it's a really good movie. I highly recommend it to people who could handle a little suspense.
My Fake Fiancé (2009)
hilarious and feel-good romance
I watched this movie with my best friend at 2am. We were just flicking back and forth on netflix and decided to put this on. I thought it was going to be another one of those cheesy TV movies, but to my surprise, it wasn't at all. The beginning was a clever start, immediately drawing you in with comedy. Of course it's predictable in story line, but not scenes and obstacles. This movie was one of the best TV movies I have ever seen! Lawrence and Hart have lots of chemistry and it's so hard not to laugh. The rest of the cast work pretty well together, too. Hands down to the comedy and romance and that they actually waited to be together 'til marriage. Awesome movie!
Mysterious Island (2010)
Awesome movie!
Are you guys kidding me? This movie was awesome! Yes, the acting wasn't so great and the ending was flat, but I really enjoyed this movie! I think Lochlyn Monro does a wonderful job of portraying a civil war captain. Props to him. I know it doesn't go by the book, but for a new twist in a movie, they did a great job. It's surprisingly safe for families, but interesting enough to keep the older ones included. Also some humor thrown in there and a small romantic touch keeps things moving forward. All I can say is hands down one of my favorite movies of the year. I know, sounds crazy. I only wish they went for a bit more romance. For me and my family it's a classic.
The Eagle (2011)
My favorite movie of all time!
The Eagle is a movie about two men (played by Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell) who go beyond unconquered territories to find a golden eagle that was lost 20 years earlier. Compared to the Gladiator, people may say that Channing's acting isn't close to that of Russel Crowe's. I think he did a great job. Jamie Bell is exceptional! Nothing more to say. Kevin MacDonald did a good job and also whoever worked on this film. Props to everybody! A story of friendship, honor and survival is all I need to get me hooked. I couldn't stop watching this movie day after day. I had to buy it! Don't even ask what it's about, just watch it! One of the best films my eyes have ever viewed! Watch it!
