Reviews
Mayday (2021)
This is a artistic piece of emotional screen writing.
Although the film is pretty slow to get to where its trying to go, it tells quite the emotional story.
I guessed the girl was rapped and was looking for a way out of her life, but it wasn't until the end that I figured out it was her subconscious she had crawled into. We can sometimes be our own worst enemies. And unless we are able to breakthrough and get past our emotions, we will just stay stuck.
I can't understand why there are so many negative reviews, other than to think you all must have missed the point entirely. I kinda wish more people would read a movies synopsis before watching and leaving a review.
After.Life (2009)
Thrilling
This film will keep you engaged and questioning, though it is sometimes predictable. I was really into this film and wanted to love it, but sadly they butchered the ending.
It has a great plot, and a decent story. There are however some things that don't make sense or aren't explained properly (like the fact Ricci's is naked the whole time).
The main character ends up in a funeral home stating she's not dead, being druged and kept locked up. Though she manages to get free and call her fiancee for help, and he tries unsuccessfully to see/help her.
Towards the end Nielsen's character basically admits Anna could still be alive and they even show her trying to claw her way out of the casket. But, instead of having the fiancee get to her in time, they ruin it and have him end up "dead" and in the same spot this whole ordeal started at the funeral home stating I'm not dead.
This ended up being a tragedy 😬
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Over 2 hours of boring before anything good happens.
Saw this on the insistence of my husband and just to make him happy. Don't care about this movie or get the hype, nor did I care for the first one. It was way too long in my opinion, and has too much unnecessary fluff to it's story.
This film was very slow to get off the ground, almost 2 hours before you get any kind of action/good writing. And I didn't really see anything spectacular here that wasn't seen 12 years ago, though my husband doesn't agree.
I just don't understand what everyone sees in these films, they only remind me of the matrix. It's almost like they took the premise from there and added an alien type species.
Unless you want to go to sleep I would not recommend wasting 3 hours of your life or the $45 on this, especially since the 3d effects will make you sick on top of that. I don't get how something this bad could cost so much to make, it's like they're trying to tank the franchise on purpose. Steer clear!
Halloween Ends (2022)
Worst movie of the whole franchise!
It's like the writers completely forgot what they even wrote in the last couple of movies. This was a complete and total let down, easily the worst film of the whole franchise. First off, you have to sit through like half the movie before Michael even shows up, and then he's not even the one doing the killing, because he's apparently too weak. In previous films we find out that Michael is cursed and that's why it was so hard to kill him in all the other installments. In the last film, we find out from Laurie what needs to be done to end all of this, and that is to kill herself because Michael and her were connected somehow. So it's very bizarre to me that Laurie is able to kill him just by slicing his throat with a knife. I mean really, that's what you guys came up with!!! How is it that easy? How is it that you can completely ruin a whole franchise with all that is available to you technology wise and informationally? How is it when they grind him up at the very end, we see rubber-looking bits? Where are all the cool special effects? Sad and, quite frankly, disappointed in every way, shape and form. I feel like it was a waste of time and money. I understand that Curtis is getting old and she wanted out but this was crappy. When you guys remake the franchise, because that's what you all do since you've run out of good writers and ideas, I will not be watching any of them.
Family Camp (2022)
Yikes! This all just felt forced.
Save your money and watch something else. There's plenty of nicer christian movies with better acting in them. The movie stars off okay, even a little funny perhaps, but then it drags on and everything just feels forced. Don't bother.
