Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Good acting and an incredible amount of work and class. However, disappointing depth and truism,
I'll leave it short.
Thank you for the whole crew, all the hard and beautiful work, animation, etc. Clearly, a lot of work has gone into creating this episode and it was a joy to witness all this hard work.
Some of the things I couldn't stop thinking about while watching this episode:
What killed thousands of killer-men on horses with burning swords in 30 seconds? Didn't make any sense for so many reasons, let alone that this weird skill could be basically utilised to wipe away the whole Winterfel defences in a few minutes.
Jon Snow sitting on his dragon, on top of a Winterfel wall for about 10 minutes. All the time the complete undead army is standing/waiting as sitting ducks in front of the trenches. He could have basically torched the complete undead army in the meantime, without any resistance.
Aria is a killer machine. And then, from one scene into another she has suddenly turned into some scared girl, running away for every undead that she encounters.
Bran. Thank you for sitting in a wheelchair below a tree in the courtyard and flying around some crows for 45 minutes, doing absolutely nothing. or providing no valuable information/insights whatsoever.
Theon. Fights off hundreds of undead single handed. Then, clumsily charges at the NK who kills him with an ease never seen before in the series. Totally useless. But, you're a good man Theon (said Bran). Facepalm.
Hit and Run (2012)
Great fun!
Not that many ratings yet, but how can this movie have a 6.1?? Serious? I saw it in the sneak preview yesterday and had some great laughs, certain parts are hilarious. Best of all, didn't knew anything about this movie, so wasn't expecting anything... Turned out to be one of my better movies this year so far! Some titles are hyped, like Batman The Dark Knight Rises, and although I enjoyed it, this movie messed up my emotions way more! The acting of the whole cast suits the flow and spirit of this movie perfectly. Furthermore, I think Dax Shepard did an outstanding job being both the director, writer and main character. Must see!
