Darknet (2013–2014)
8/10
Good horror, creepy stories
12 November 2014
If you've been getting tired of the zombie flicks and other cliché horror movies that's been churning out there, then you will be refreshingly surprised at this creepy horror series. Each episode is only around 25 minutes long, so you will fly through these, especially since they are original horror that will keep you interested till the last minute. My only complaint is that there are not enough episodes and they are too short! If you are a fan of the VHS movies, then you will definitely like Darknet, and it will certainly get you your VHS fix! I hope this series expands on its episode numbers per season because this is one show that absolutely deserves to stick around for a long time.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
Best show...ever
18 September 2014
I know my review will get lost in the shuffle of the hundreds that have already been posted, but I had to wade in and give my two thumbs up for this epic show. It's fabulously written, directed, produced, and acted. The character development is simply stunning, seizing you by the heart and pulling you right in, leaving you wanting to binge watch episode after episode. The tense action, real-life drama of family, and quirky humor all mesh together so well that you will feel that you know the characters as true as the real world. The show truly is the best one ever made.

Therefore, if you are one of the few who haven't seen Breaking Bad, let me just say that every other show that you choose to watch besides this one (i.e. you keep putting it off) is a lesser show by every measure, for the production quality, acting, and plots are second to none. I highly suggest with no reservation that if you have not seen this, then shame on you. Go seek immediate redemption by starting Breaking Bad now! You will not be disappointed.

That's My Boy (2012)

Comedy has hit bottom of the barrel
2 December 2012
What has Hollywood been putting out lately for comedy? Well, That was my question heading into this movie that I thought had a chance to provide some hearty laughs. Unfortunately, I hit a roadblock in what I guess is current humor. Not only was this movie not funny if you are not into raunchy quasi-soft porn wannabe humor, it is very inappropriate for not only kids but non-assuming adults, as well. I felt my IQ dropping the more I watched this movie. It's laced with stupidity, and the immoral characters that make up the guts of the film sadly reflect where America is as a social country in this day and age, comedy or not. Why else would the cast and staff create a movie like this for the masses if they didn't think the country liked this stuff? Sad. This movie was an obscene disappointment. I would be highly embarrassed to watch this with any family or at any social gathering. If you are in to vastly raunchy material then you will probably like this unintelligent film. Otherwise, pick a cleaner comedy to watch, even if you have to go back several years in the film library to do so, because- honestly-Adam Sandler & the Hollywood crew have reached the bottom of the barrel in what they think is funny. Two thumbs down, would be more if I had them. This movie sucked.

Descendents (II) (2008)
1/10
Very, very, very, very, very BAD
12 June 2012
First off, let me say that I am a big horror movie fan, and an even bigger zombie genre fan. This movie tried to capitalize on the booming zombie genre, but it fell flat on its face in an epic way.

Picture yourself watching The Walking Dead TV series, Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, and any other zombie powerhouses. Now, picture yourself watching a movie called "Descendents" where the director has the camera jumping around when there's absolutely nothing happening, children play on a playground for minutes on end with nothing happening, and the constant replay of the SAME scenes from the little girl's memory. There was a lot of wasted minutes with meaningless crap. The movie is purely and perfectly POINTLESS. Now, picture this pointless drivel of a plot-less movie ending on a monumentally STUPID ending that is second to none in stupidity. You think Full Metal Jacket seemed like a different movie half-way through it? Well, you ain't seen nothing yet until you experience the genius of this movie's ending. It isn't even worth renting (not even on a free rental you may get from your cable vendor). Don't waste your money or free time. This movie looks like it was made in one day.

Just so you're not fooled, this is no horror movie. It tries to blend social/political lines into an invisible plot mixed with an apocalyptic world. In case you still want to see it for yourself, I won't go any further, but, honestly, this movie isn't worth telling spoilers on. Why? Because it plain sucks. You've been warned.
