Overall a strong flick.

This movie was good. The way you view it probably has something to do with whether or not you've read the book; I have, and for the most part it followed the book well. The acting was good, but not superb. Leonardo Dicaprio was pretty good, but kinda boring, as was Joel Edgerton. Carey mulligan was alright, and I found Nick Carraway to be perfectly casted (Tobey Maguire).

The soundtrack was pretty bad. The rap music just...didn't fit. I know what they were trying to do, create a party atmosphere and what not, but it Didn't work.

Some parts were a little overdone, but strangely, I actually didn't mind that. It was kind of nice; I really don't know why but some of the melodrama seemed okay, and I usually despise melodrama.

TL;DR -- Leo's not getting an Oscar this time either. F Scott Fitzgerald would probably be mildly proud. The rap sucks.

No one wraps up a trilogy like Nolan.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. That's all I can say. I was freaked out about this movie, because I loved the first two. Too often have I gotten into a series, then been horribly disappointed by the last entry (e.g. the hunger games. I hated the third book). That being said, even though I was nervous, I still had high expectations. And it exceeded those. The acting was excellent, consistently to the previous movies. The action was good. The story was great. The characters were diverse and interesting, and despite the longevity of this film, it wasn't too slow at all.

This movie was a emotional roller coaster. The ending ( here's where the spoilers start) was extremely sad, but ironically, that was really good. One thing i was nervous about was that the ending would be a typical superhero movie ending: happy because the main bad guy dies or gets arrested or whatever. This wasn't that. Ask anyone who knows me well; I'm a very stoic guy, but this almost had me in tears. (Of course, it could have been the fact that this part came around at 3 AM and my mind wasn't working right.)

Basically, an awesome film. My sole complaint was ( another spoiler here ) Bane's death. I'll give it this: it was realistic. I expected his death to be a long, drawn out sentimental thing, but in reality, his head got blown off in a flash. At first, I thought it was stupid, but it's sorta more realistic. Considering it's a superhero movie, anyway.

If you're worried that this will ruin the series for you, don't be. I loved this movie. I don't know if it's as good as the Dark Knight, but if not, it's very, very close. Watch it. Do yourself a favor.

Spider-Man (2000 Video Game)

great

I got this game for Mac in 2002, when I was five or six. It was the first action game I had. All my other games were Winnie the Pooh and Putt-Putt (which were great, don't get me wrong) but I couldn't stop playing this game. since I was so young, I wasn't too good, but I was the only person I knew with this game at first. My friend would come to my house, and we would play it for hours on end, while arguing about who was better at it. (Eventually, some teenage girl came to my family's house on Thanksgiving and beat it, much to my chagrin.) I don't have the game anymore. I wish I did. This was a big part of my childhood. I owe my current love for spider-man to this game. Only problem with it was that Spidey always swung from nothing. He wouldn't swing from buildings, i guess he used clouds or something. It was weird but pretty funny.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011 Video Game)

Best Game I have ever played
5 July 2012
I got this game in April. I heard lots of people talking about it in November, when it came out, but I wasn't super interested. I felt like getting a new video game, so I tried this, and even though I usually prefer shooting games, I expected this to be amazing after all I heard. And it was WAY better than I thought it would be. Mostly everything about this game is as close to perfect as you could hope to be. The graphics are excellent. The world is HUGE. The AI is really good; everyone has his or her own unique personality and will either like you, dislike you or stay neutral, depending on how you've treated them. Despite that this is a fantasy game with dragons and magic robot spiders, it feels realistic. The combat (if you're using short range weapons, not magic or bows) is also strangely realistic. Instead of super cool spins and flips, you get to bash the enemies' shields till they fall, then smash their faces in. It's satisfying, in a somewhat disturbing way. I would rather have given this a 9.8/10, however because of the glitches. There are SO MANY glitches, and if you get this for PS3, like I did, when you save enough data, it lags terribly. It's easy enough to fix (just delete previous saves) but it's still pretty annoying.

If you're wondering whether or not to get this game, and you're over twelve years old (It has a fair amount of disturbing stuff), I say go for it by all means.

Meh.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm gonna spoil the ending. be careful.

It's a decent movie. It is somewhat hard to judge it alone, because I keep automatically comparing it to the Sam Raimi series. It doesn't follow the comics a lot, but it's understandable. They wanted to be original, so it's fine. This movie is really funny. Way funnier than the previous movies, but the action wasn't as cool. It was predictable, but hey, aren't all superhero movies?

Now the ending was the worst. Captain Stacy makes Peter promise not to see Gwen anymore, for her safety. It's his dying wish, so Peter agrees, and the movie kinda has a sad tone for the next few minutes, but it was well done. Then, at the very end, Peter basically says he's going to break his promise, and then they smile, and it completely ruins the drama that there was after the final fight. It's stupid. If they had waited till the sequel (I'm guessing there will be one in a few years) to show it, it would not have been so bad.

Another problem ( and this is really just my opinion) is that it's not as good of a storyline when there are so many people who know who he is. It's not as exciting. Plus, the movie focused too much on Peter and Gwen, instead of Spider-man. I also found it dumb and cliché that they fell in love in like three days.

Overall, it's a good flick, but it could have been a lot better.
