Stargate SG-1: Proving Ground (2001)
I like this episode
It's pretty amazing to watch how cadets are trained and tested in preparedness to join SG. O'Neill is a bit too firm and I feel bad for the cadet he kept reprimanding.
I don't know what much to say but while some cases seem implausible (as it invariably does in SG1) I can't help but like how the future of SG would look like with these new recruits running it.
There are obvious flaws but it's fresh and cozy. I can already see the future of SG with these new blood. I wish they would make a new one and hire them for a new SG. Atlantis' great but the cast here is excellent. 10/10
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Left for Dead (2004)
great
This is a good episode. Especially the ending. It portrays a lot about trust Agent Todd shows towards the woman who was buried alive. She empathizes, and believed that Jane Doe is a good person who was put in a terrible circumstance. A final apology by teary Jane Doe to Todd before dropping the bomb is incredible. Agent Todd feeling lost and betrayed what was I gathered at the very end.
It's not just about a woman that escaped from being buried alive. She could not remember even her name. She discovers that she actually killed someone. She hides that fact and revenges upon the person who thought he had killed her (who she was in a relationship with).
Monster (2003)
The Ugly Truth
Great movie. I can say many many things about this movie. How realistic the portrayal of the sex scenes during her time as a prostitute. How some men treat her like ****. How she killed a John because he was raping her with an item like looked like a huge anal plug and throwing rubbing alcohol on her(it BURNS that stuff).
What I also can't understand is how the first recommended review on this movie here is telling about how he was 'a little too rough'. I can't imagine any ethical person saying that. He was brutally raping her and she was knocked over and bleeding(her head is visible bloody).
Then there was the policeman taking advantage of her.
This movie truly depicts the ugly facets of MEN, mostly and I can tell you when she finally shot the sadistic rapist, JUSTICE has prevailed. at least for that one.
That's the sad truth about life-people rape and many get away.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
it's good but way overrated
I've been thinking why is this movie The best movie for so many people, then I remembered it is like music, the best music is the ones you heard at 14. because you associate with memory and when your brain starts developing and your awareness of yourself and others come into being.
this movie revitalized my love for classical and baroque music no doubt and introduced some themes. I find the main character somewhat unrealistic only because I personally cannot relate to him. If I was in his position I doubt I would have done what he did.
It is good but I prefer Morgan Freeman's The Bucket List much more and a variety of prison movies(American History X) and TV series(Prison Break).
Fearless (1993)
Nasty movie
I watched it till the end. If you the sort of person who spends a lot of time on thoughts like purpose, death and life DO NOT watch this movie. it's worse than an empty shell. it is false advertising, this movie. It tells about a man's journey after a plane crash that had changed him to someone who does not feel. He feels almost content with anything and joyous with life. there are some illogical plot occurring. It has to do with an allergy. Besides that the main character had little appeal to me. even the gorgeous women did not make up for what a fluke the movie was. I am flabbergasted that certain people felt so full of emotion after this movie but I think those are the shallow sort of people.
