A slap in the face to Power Ranger fans
24 April 2023
Now, I am one of the biggest Power Ranger fans ever. I stopped watching the show seven years ago, and decided to watch this because Power Ranger anniversary specials were some of the most special there were. My favourite part was also how they'd change every single year and brought me the feel that impossible was reality.

With respect to Thuy Trang and JDF. But when it came down to this special, it was dark but also dumb. I found this special is what showed me what I always hated about Power Rangers, but they grew it from a 1% to a 80%, which was the unknown plotlines or gaps they'd use in the show. Mostly how they don't explain how things happen and things are replaced, like Rita Repulsa as a robot, but did they seriously need to kill off Trini instead of a proper send off? Did they need to add someone to replace Trini -- and if I'm missing something here I apologize -- because it felt random as we don't know that person who plays her like we know the original cast. The only good thing for me was how they brought back Walter E. Jones and David Yost who were the originals, but Rocky also never knew Zack. I found it had been better if they ignored killing off Trini and went down a route that was more progressive towards the story.

This is a movie that has literally everything
23 January 2022
What I thought was amazing about this movie is it teaches you about business, but not just that, who you're going to run into in your life when it comes to climbing up the ladder to success -- that is if you get there. It also teaches you what it's like to work in the stocks.

And that's my review aside of the obvious raunchiness in this movie. Although, I did find it funny. But with my review, it's a modern day Goodfellas with comedy and education on how to get rich.

I liked this
13 January 2022
The thing about this movie I notice is people tend to dislike it, going as far as Pattinson getting a Razzie for this role. But one thing I liked about this movie was the emotion in the story, I mean not all the acting was great but I really liked the movie for the story and Pattinson's acting. And aside from Twilight, this movie I found showed how good of an actor Pattinson can be when he's given the right role.

When you watch it about five times you notice it truly is a masterpiece.
7 December 2021
Sandler wasn't trying, but as much as I don't care for Sandler his movies are usually entertaining. To say the least he knows how to sell a movie including the consistent product placement where he makes even more money minus the profits, but what makes this movie very unique is it's a meaningful story and one everybody can relate to. It's both a tragic-drama and a comedy when you re-watch it. I mentioned the product placement, but he sold it amongst putting fart jokes, sex jokes, celebrities, and finally you mix the comedy with a good story you have this masterpiece; the fart and sex jokes were used right. You can disagree or hate on this review all you want, it really, really, is a masterpiece. Not because of the one nomination for an Oscar.

Had Sandler cared and put lots into the plot without it being somewhat sloppy like all his movies -- it's his signature to be sloppy -- I totally think this movie would get a lot more credit and recognition than it deserves; the best thing this movie is known for is one of Sandler's best.

Just can't recreate a masterpiece
5 December 2021
The original Lion King movie was a giant masterpiece, and the main part that instantly threw me off was how different most of the voices were, Zazu to start. Sometimes remakes can be good to add new ideal scenes the writers/creators wish they once had, but as good as a director Favreau is he couldn't recreate the past. But after watching it felt like more of a cash-grab than a masterpiece.

I do think it's a nice project, but the live-animation films aren't always the best. Only thing I truly did enjoy was Seth Rogen as Pumba.

The forgotten Disney Animation Film
21 November 2021
Disney movies are memorable. And ones that people tend to never forget. This is one. What I see was it had animation ahead of its time, but it's not entirely meant for kids as Disney tried to show a documentary mixed with a Disney film. But what it lacked a lot of was character development. Like, were the characters meant to be this bland and unexciting?

I think if Disney added a story around the characters it'd be one people would be talking about to this day. I personally enjoyed it as it reminded me of my childhood, but as an adult there's too much missing in this movie.

Another one of those underrated shows
12 May 2021
It's one of those shows that give you an amazing introduction to the characters that leave you wanting to learn more about them to the point you're forever attached to them after watching the show. Even though some of the jokes got repetitive, it was always entertaining and would never fail to impress you when watching this show.

When I was a kid it was one of the shows I'd look forward to watching with whatever storyline was in stock.

I enjoyed this...
12 May 2021
I'm probably one of few fans who enjoyed this because I was so attached to Jimmy Neutron, but one thing I'll agree on no matter what is how unnecessary the spin-off was to Jimmy Neutron as it ruined the whole show -- just like what Fairly Odd Parents did, but Nickelodeon tended to ruin a lot of their best shows. They could've either kept Jimmy Neutron running and had this as a special episode for people to enjoy this a lot more. But I kept watching because I was curious about how residents of Retroville wondered what happened to Sheen. I mean whether you like it or not, I was hoping the show would've been wrapped up with Jimmy finding him on this planet, either having him demand he stays or goes home with Jimmy to Earth.

My favourite cartoon as a kid
12 May 2021
This is one show that could keep on going for many years to come. I always took joy in watching this show and would look forward to watching it every single given time. But one thing that should be noted was how underrated What's With Andy is. The reason I loved this show was it was all just too much fun to watch as Andy was getting himself in lots of trouble and just was overall entertaining in every single aspect; it was such a well done cartoon and deserves a lot more recognition.

I really enjoyed this show as a kid
12 May 2021
I found watching this show would've loved for me to see Nickelodeon have these kids grow up and find themselves, but watching this later showed me they rushed the development into their preteen/teen years of confusion amongst them in a PG format and the stresses of parents as their kids get older. If you watched Rugrats as a kid you'll understand.

But what I wish was this show lasted longer because it made me feel as if they were growing up with me fictionally inside a cartoon universe. But I do understand good things come to an end, and this is how I loved the way they wrapped up Rugrats.

An underrated masterpiece
30 April 2021
One who watches or understands movie will know how much of a masterpiece this is that deserves more attention than an Oscar Nomination. It's one of those movies that's meant to not get spotlight or be deemed a blockbuster minus it's amazing cast with some underrated actors making comebacks such as Stacy Keach with the intimidating roles he can play -- if some truly know him that is.

What I also love about this movie is they don't leave out the modernness of it as they make sure it's within the present day timeline, but give it a classic touch as if it was being filmed in the 1950's.

What I also like about it was the emotion and how realistic it was, but the movie was also given the best of every presented emotion in there within the everyday struggles of the average person. Overall, they made it as happy of a movie as possible even when it has its sad moments. This should be on every movie-watchers watchlist before they die.

Youngblood (1986)

From a hockey fan's perspective.
5 March 2021
I loved it in terms of hockey. But at times found it quite cheesy and poorly written, but in terms of hockey I liked it but defiantly could've been better. I find most hockey movies to appeal an American audience tends to always need to include fighting and violence -- although I do agree the fighting adds emotion, but I'm the one hockey fan that can live without the fighting.

What I found cheesy was before I watched the movie I thought the title was deemed towards the premise being a young hockey player hoping to go pro, but making Youngblood the character's last name. I think what they should've done was given him a true last name that hockey fans would take seriously. But the other thing was should've done the whole junior thing a lot differently because it's not a tryout for juniors, you get drafted or invited. Also, trading in sports always makes the story better as I wish they traded Racki away or Youngblood is traded away because the team didn't believe in him or a team gave him a second chance because they saw what he could do.

Other than that, it's a good hockey movie. I just think the movie would be a lot more relevant had they done things right in a genuine hockey perspective.

13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

A beautiful book destroyed by too much Liberalism and Greed
2 December 2020
13 Reasons Why is one of my favourite books ever. But this isn't a book review.

But the show I once had at a high rating for in the first season as the character development was unique, but Netflix got greedy and decided to turn this into their premiere teen-drama series. For starters I didn't agree with it as a fan of the book, but if the second season were to be the last I'd be all in for it if they wanted to wrap things up.

This show straight up ruined the book as a whole. Not to mention how they used 13 episodes per season, but finished with ten in the final season. I think they could've found another show to do this with in a much better way.

Now to the final part of this review. Netflix's biggest problem is Liberalism. They tend to overdo it at times to the point to where it's not necessary. I mean I one-hundred percent agree that we should have shows with or about transgender and gay lead characters, but they believe they need to add everything in every show. But they got way carried away within the second season with their most controversial scene, which I think all fans know what I'm talking about, though how I understood that scene was how it happens to guys too, but they did it in such a wrong way. It almost doesn't make any sense and is so unrealistic.

My six stars are only dedicated to the first season alone. If you are going to watch this series right now, only watch the first season.

A Beautiful Masterpiece
23 November 2020
It's one of those heartfelt indie movies that you can appreciate. I also like how they give Andy Samberg a serious side in this movie with a comedic role while introducing other low-key brilliant actors and actresses in this film, even giving Cristin Milioti a movie to show how excellent and underrated of an actress she is also why she deserves more big roles going forward into the future; JK Simmons is also a fabulous actor that knows how to portray antagonizing characters very well -- but today I say he was born to play J. Jonah Jamieson as I believe it's his best role before his in Whiplash. If you as me today, deserves an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay.

It has the same premise as Groundhog Day with Bill Murray, but what I love about it is that there are hidden clues within the movie that gives more for you to think about. But what I think I would've liked to have seen get added within is more of a story as to why Andy Samberg's character of Nyles went into the cave in the first place, I have a strong and wise idea as to what lead him there.

One big American Airlines commercial sponsored by Hilton
10 November 2020
It was a good watch nonetheless, and movies do need somebody to pay for the budget. But the only issue with me is that when there's too much of it all over the place it just gets annoying. I think the point was made many, many times. But towards the end it just came to show. I mean, Adam Sandler is most notable for putting the sponsors in his movies but he doesn't typically flaunt it all over the place -- Little Nicky is the last one I remember with it being one big Popeye's Chicken commercial.

Other than that the story, cinematography, the acting from George Clooney, Jason Bateman and Anna Kendrick were all very good. But I also really like Jason Reitman as a director and will watch pretty much anything he's directed. But like I said before, what ruins a movie for me is what it's just me realizing it's one big commercial.

Not recommended if you have PTSD
31 October 2020
Due to my PTSD, it took me a few days for my head to process this movie. But the main reason I watched the movie was because Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jake Gyllenhaal are some of my favourite actors.

As much as I know how fictional the acting is, this is defiantly one of the most messed up movies I've ever seen, so messed up I can probably never watch it again -- similar to beautifully disturbing movies such as 'Requiem for a Dream' and 'American History X.' But at the same time lots of effort and time was put into the movie to the point it was so well done along with the amazing acting. But if you are going to watch it, you might want to skip some of the scenes in the beginning.

The reason I have it rated so low is because it triggered my PTSD considering I've lived through some relatively similar events within this movie and have known many psychopaths in my lifetime -- even if I was an actor, I can honestly play one in a movie perfectly that I've been around them so much and can tell who is or isn't one. But I will say, Aaron Taylor-Johnson did an excellent job portraying a Psychopath. But I believe he didn't win an Oscar because his role was too controversial in this movie, but I believe one day he should and will win one.

So much amazing potential wasted or not even used, but still an amazing watch.
31 October 2020
Although it is a good story, this is a movie that could've had a ton of potential to be much better than it was. Though I did enjoy it and was a good watch, I think this movie would've been a major improvement had they brought in much better actors/actresses (Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the lead would've been my pick; Elizabeth Moss is an amazing actress but she didn't really mesh well with the other actors/actresses), added more premise and story to the characters as we don't know too much as to her relationship with her ex-husband, or why she moved in with her friend who happens to be employed within the Law Enforcement field.

Overall the big problem was this movie was moved too quickly, if they added more premise, answers, and detail I think it'd be deemed as one of the best Sci-Fi movies ever.

Same old Borat
24 October 2020
Same old Borat... which is a very good thing.

I mean the only scene I disliked and cringed at was the father-daughter dance, but I laughed so hard at all the jokes about the US President... I forget his name -- just kidding I know what it is, in case republican read this. But what struck me the most was how much of a political move this was to make this movie, but raised eyebrows for me as well. I think I'm mostly entertained at the fact Sasha Baron Cohen is the best and most dedicated troll on Earth that doesn't care about who he pisses off, as long as his own mission is complete and goals are reached.

An underrated masterpiece that's also a must-see
22 October 2020
Without spoilers -- just to put out there how amazing this movie is and how it's very much worth watching -- this movie was flat out incredible with an amazing story and twists within the movie. But what bothers me is it doesn't get the recognition it deserves as it's also both one of Matthew McConaughey and Bill Paxton's best performances.

The Big Bang Theory 2.0
26 April 2020
The show is entertaining, but the big thing here is as it describes some different forms of Autism they don't seem to describe all of them perfectly; but I'm also surprised the word 'Aspergers' isn't thrown around as it would be much, much more realistic despite the fact Aspergers is a form of Autism. But what bothers me is how... unrealistic it is. But what she show does well is relationships which is what I find it to be about. I find as some of the actors are amazing, especially Brigette Lundy-Paine who I think has a super bright future in her life actress or not, but some of the actors' chemistry is so... off and don't click for me. And the writing on the show isn't that good. But what I find is it copies The Big Bang Theory as Sam seems to be modelled after Sheldon Cooper.

Just a bunch of childish adults fighting over stupid things
11 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed the stories in the first half of the series. It was interesting hearing about the people who engaged in the game, but felt bad for a few of them; what I found it turned into was a war against the Colombo family against Robin, which is where it turned into basically a childish fight...

This was an amazing watch
28 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Before anyone reads this, I want to say I found this movie to be an amazing masterpiece... until the ending, which I will get to later. But I find John Krasinski is amazing at directing, along with his acting and screenplay. The story was good, the communication happened to be very unique as the parents are doing whatever they can to better the life of their children making sure this creature didn't get to them. Now I thought the suspense was incredible, but I almost don't feel suspense unless I don't know what to expect. Onto the ending, what bothered me the most about the ending was how Lee sacrifices himself for his kids. Yes, I do know he wasn't aware of what his daughter had discovered, how it made a nice dramatic ending of a father sacrificing himself for his kids but it just wasn't realistic to me, wouldn't she help him with the hearing aid? Neither was the very ending, to me it turned from such a beautiful story into The Walking Dead. I would've given it ten stars if the ending was a much nicer touch with a better ending.

Power Rangers (2017)
10/10
Had me on an emotional roller coaster.
24 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I grew up a die-hard Power Ranger fan. I thought at first it was cheezy with the story behind the Power Rangers, Zordon once the Red Ranger and the fictional language that was being spoken. Liked the idea of detention, but I feel they could've done better introducing the Rangers before hand. Wasn't high on the casting choices either; my favourite was RJ Cyler as Billy because I think he portrayed it so well, liked the version of Trini, but still think casting could've been better. Didn't like the version of Rita Repulsa because in the show Rita is a witch with a team of villains, but all she has from them in this movie is-- literally--GOLDar... which is probably what else made me mad. Alpha, I could live with, kinda liked that version. But still wish they had the actual Command Center as a headquarters. Like Bryan Cranston as Zordon was awesome. But later towards the end is where I started to tear up. I liked their morphing sequence--that was my favourite part of the entire show. Then after seeing the zords was just unbelievably awesome while playing the Power Rangers theme song. If you watch the show, you'll understand these 100%. I liked how they had all the Power Ranger cameos, such as Jason's dad saying, 'Mariner Bay and Reefside.' Old ficitonal cities from the TV show in other seasons: my jaw dropped. The fight scenes with the zords and Goldar were so well done, just would've rather seen a megazord transformation and although was impressed with the morphing sequence, I wish they did it better. I cried towards the end when I saw (Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson) Tommy and Kimberly's cameo, then seeing after the credits hearing the name 'Tommy Oliver,' my mind officially went super positive. Overall I loved it, even though there were some things that bother me. But this is a valuable review because I am a die-hard Power Rangers fan. Take my word for it.

Can't stop watching.
1 February 2014
I watched the whole series, and I still watch it; can't stop no matter how hard I try to stop thinking about it. But easily its hands-down the best show I've ever seen. But I more than recommend it, you have to watch this show before you die. Its so good, that you can't spoil it--you have to see it to believe it. The acting is so good, that its super believable--everyone puts 100% love and effort into making each second of it. But its not just the acting and effort. It is even artistic in every way, and haven't seen as much art in any movie or TV show in my life, since the art in this is beautiful and unbelievable; touched up with the perfect songs for each scene.

Sandler should be banned from Hollywood!
21 January 2014
This review I'm writing here doesn't just stand for this Razzie winning movie, but it represents all his crappy movies. He just makes the same ones. In fact, I don't need to spoil the movie for all of you to get he makes the same ones. All he does is act like an idiot the whole movie, and wraps it up the same way as he does in his other movies. He makes movies like him and his friends making home movies.

'Hey guys, wanna make a movie!' He goes and makes... this, along with his very recent films. He writes, produces, stars himself, and hires some of the same directors in each of the films he produces.

He has all the money in the world. Can't believe people still support this guy. Not a single penny from my pocket ever goes to this joke to Hollywood. I even watched the movie to see how crappy it was!

My advice: DO NOT WATCH THIS!

You way thank me later.
