Hatchet (2006)
10/10
A true slasher
7 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Now imagine this. You go to the cinema/theatre to watch some horror films. And in those films, a group of people go to an isolated location and as luck would have it, they get stalked and killed. But they weren't the main attraction. If anything they were expendable meat. The KILLER was the main show. From Jason, to Freddy, to Axel Palmer, to Michael Myers, they left their mark. Gore splattered the screen, guts flew everywhere and more importantly. we had a good time. But movies like these are rare these days. So you can imagine my enthusiasm when I heard about Hatchet and it's director, Adam Green. Thanks to him, a new movie with a cool new villain reared it's head.

The plot is simple, as the 80's slasher movies were. Two friends agree to go on a swamp-tour and along with the other people attending, come face-to-face with Victor Crowley. Victor is a repeater: A ghost who resurrects with himself at the end of each night. Anyone who comes near his swamp... Dies.

Great right?!? No CGI. No serious plot. Just a fun time.
