BraveStarr: Fallen Idol (1987)
Season 1, Episode 2
10/10
Fallen Idol, the best episode.
11 August 2007
When we were kids we all might had some Fallen Idols...

Its a normal day at the Marshall's office when Deputy Fuzz notice a picture taken with Marshall Bravestarr and a wanted criminal. Bravestarr's hero from the academy is wanted for murder and this really affects Bravestarr. He cannot believe that his idol has committed this terrible crime and seeks the truth. Once revealed, he is awfully disappointed that his hero is now a Fallen Idol and must face him man to man. This episode shows animation on its best, the moral is good and the story is heartbreaking, truly a masterpiece.

Cold Prey (2006)

Okay it was good but haven't we seen it all before?
18 October 2006
After reading the other user comments about how good this movie was I have to give it to you people straight, the movie is okay but we serious horror fans have seen it all before.

The story starts with a couple of guys and girls heading for Jotunheimen(a big ass mountain)to snowboard. When one of the guys breaks his foot they have to seek cover in a abandoned mountain hotel... get the picture? I mean why the hell do they think it's abandoned in the first place?

Anyway, after settling down and all that other crap they agree to stay the night in the hotel. And of course as in any other horror movie we ever seen there is always a bright guy saying: "Hey wanna check out the rest of the hotel?" Whats very fascinating though is that one of the couple end up in room 237,guess these guys haven't seen "The Shining" yet? Okay, from know on you get the idea whats gonna happen, they discover that they are not alone, they wanna get out, they cant get out because the psychopath killer is one big Jason mother#¤%&/! or something like that AND (pause) the killing spree begins..

"Fritt Vilt" has borrowed a lot from movies like "The Shining","I know what you did last summer" and a kind of "Hills Have Eyes" beginning, mostly cheap scares but some good ones to. Like I said, the movie is good but we have already seen a lot of this stuff before, as a Norwegian movie its a step in the right direction but if you wanna see a horror flick beyond this see: Villmark. Thats a great horror flick ;)

Thanks for reading!

Phenomena (1985)

Outstanding "Gasp" from Italian horror from Dario Argento...
25 September 2006
I saw this flick last Halloween and I cant seem to forget how terrifying it was, terrifying in that way: if I ever see this DVD again I'm gonna throw it away.. I mean Jesus Christ, a telepathic crime insect enforcer? What the hell? I think I spend a third of.., no wait actually during the hole movie I thought about the idea to not gasp myself to death. Luckily if i hadn't been for my friend filling in post-mortem on-liners I'd be dead.

I rater not comment on the plot in this movie cause it could get real ugly upon this mo&%¤#4&*@r. Avoid this movie at any cost, the music score, the gore, the atmosphere do not help when the story about a crime solving girl and her fly is sniffing out hideouts for old rotting corpses. But thank you for reading...

Silver Fang (1986)
10/10
I've seen it all and there is nothing like this...
22 May 2006
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin aka Silver Fang in Scandinavia is a Japanese animation series witch runs for 21 episodes.

THE STORY...

A small mountain town depending on ski-tourism has a bear problem, and it all begins with the akita puppy Gin being born. His father Riki is with Master Gohe hunting down the main bear called Akakabuto. In the battle Riki gets thrown off a cliff an is assumed dead. Daisuke and Gin seeks revenge... and we follow Daisuke & Gin preparing themselves for the confrontation with the giant bear. They manage to kill one but it is not Akakabuto, and it seems that killer bear have created a little army of his own, so the mission get tougher.. After this the story goes over to focus only on Gin, his father Riki is still alive and is the leader of a group of wild dogs living in the mountains. Because of the fall Riki has lost his memory and he does not recognize Gin, but to strengthen his army he commands the other wild dogs off to recruit more soldiers for the final battle against Akakabuto and the other bears. A fantastic journey of courage, love, strength and honor begins...

Conclusion: The Japanese are at their best in this touching story about a puppy in search for his father, finding him and then teaming up with him to kill the bear that separated them and stole his childhood years wihout a father... It's 20 years now since the first time I saw Gin, and it still is as powerful as it was. Trust me folks, I've spend a lot of my time front of a tele, seen a lot of animation series, they don't make em like old days... =)

First Blood (1982)
9/10
One of the trademarks of the 80ies!
25 January 2006
As being born a boy in the early 80ies you could not avoid becoming a part of the "testosteron" bug that ruled the world at the time. Watching "First Blood" was a great experience for me, and I still remember the first time I watched it with my older brother almost 20 years ago.

The movie is about a Vietnam Vet named John Rambo(Stallone), seeking up old Nam buddies after he returns from the War. This quest brings him to a quiet town with a sadistic Sheriff. The Shefiff named Teasle(Dennehy)is harassing Rambo and takes him into custody for nothing. Rambo manages to escape into the mountains were he prepares for his own "private war"...

Rambo became a trademark in the 80ies and still is, the movie is action packed and well directed. This is one of the best action films ever made, nuff said!

Boo (2005)

This movie gives crap a hole new meaning!
16 January 2006
Boo! is about a bunch of stupid kids celebrating Halloween in a haunted hospital. When they arrive at the hospital something is waiting at them at the 3ird floor and it ain't Casper the friendly ghost! I've seen a lot of cheesy movies on Sunday mornings before, but there should be a law against green lighting movies like this one. The acting is horrible, the story is terrible, the computer effects are awful and the director lacks everything a "director" stands for.... Oh, did I mentioned the acting? This is the worst piece of crap I've ever seen! If you wanna waist 1 1/2 hours on this be at least prepared.... Just for the record, when I was done watching this I threw the DVD away! And thats a true story!
