Orphan: First Kill (2022)
Misplaced Sympathy
To me, it is a very clever story of how "Esther" gets to America, and interacts with the family. Now, how I've written that makes it sound boring, but I can assure you, it's because I don't want to give anything away. Just know that the story works well leading up to the original first film, Orphan. Isabelle Fuhrman, is a fantastic actress, and I think it's incredibly kind of her to do this prequel, but at the same time, I know she did it because of the intriguing story. There is some gore, and some swearing, I wouldn't have minded more, but hey, that's just me. The ending was a bit weak, but it didn't bother me because the rest of the film is worth it.
Star Wars Biomes (2021)
Absolute Gem
This is 18 minutes of escapism. Wonderful to watch, and even better with headphones on. The music is perfect. I loved seeing the Razor Crest again, and of course The Millennium Falcon. I wish this had been longer. Well done to whoever suggested this, and thank you for showing it.
Abre los ojos (1997)
My eyes Are open.
I never knew Vanilla Sky was a remake, infact I only discovered it a couple of years ago, I bought the dvd. Anyway, this film is more painful, in an emotional way. Great acting. I love the Antonio character, played by Chete Lera, he was much more convincing and strong. But, I cracked up, when César drove out of the building in a VW Beetle!! This film is great, but prefer the remake, and I have never said that about a film before.
