Tenet (2020)
Copy-paste of Inception, old idea, tiring action
This movie is a repetition of Inception. Now, instead of dream-in-dream, it is time. But the story of time travellers, and time loops is not new at all. We have seen it in many movies and series over the past decade. The continuous action scenes and continuous run between future and past, continuous loops to predict and change the outcome is boring and tiring, especially when the movie is almost 2.5 hours in duration (why?). It could well be 1.5 hours and it would be more pleasent.
Underwater (2020)
Trash movie
Godzilla like movie, and I am not talking about the good old Godzilla movies, I am talking about the ugly recent ones. The movie is supposed to scare you with some very cliche scenes. No anticipation, no story at all, destruction starts in the first 5 minutes. And the science behind everything, it is very very stupid.
Little Joe (2019)
Mediocre film and acting
I was quite disappointed with this film. A mediocre commecial film with mediocre acting. Not that the actors were not good, but the roles were not at all demanding or deep. So, nothing special.
The Game Changers (2018)
I am a vegan and this film has nothing to say to me
Whatever is said in this film was already known to me. Of course veganism is good for your health. I am not sure what audience this documentary is targeting. Vegans already know this stuff, non vegans I am not sure if they will want to watch it at all. Something that I disliked is that the film focuses on men and recycles the male sexism stereotypes. It talks about vegan food benefits to male sexual life, but never mentioned the female sexual life. It is supposed to fight the stereotypes connecting male strength with meat, but yet it shows that veganism makes men stronger. So it's all about men and strength, no matter if it is meat or plant diet.
Ad Astra (2019)
This is not what you expect it to be
You expect a space scifi movie, but this is more a psychological essay on solitude and being human as an individual (control yourself and your emotion in order to serve and do your duty) and collectively (answer the question if we are alone in the universe). A good film. I would see at a as an extension to Interstellar, although this is more psychologically deep.
Memory: The Origins of Alien (2019)
Must see for sci-fi and cinema fans
I always liked Alien, especially the first film, and now I know why. There are so many mythical, psychological and sociological references, that so far passed unnoticed by me, which I can now clearly recognize in the film.
Extinction (2018)
Good Scifi Movie
Surprisingly a good scifi movie from Netflix. It starts as an alien invasion with shooting and action (reminding of Skyline), but then the mystery unfolds in an unexpected way. I particularly liked the references to Hawking and some scenes reminding Gattaca, not by coincidence... This is a movie which leaves thoughts in your mind for some time, hence a good movie.
