Christmas Together (I) (2020 TV Movie)

Not the best

For the past two weeks (in August) I've been watching all the cheesy Christmas films I can get. When life gives you lemons, watch a Christmas movie. Just what I need at the moment. This one however isn't particularly great. I managed to watch it all, so it can't be that dire. The father just doesn't feel very fatherly. He's so young and although he's a likeable actor he seemed a bit wooden. Loved the neighbour and his best friend. I liked Ava and Mia.

It has all the things needed to be in the top of the cheesy films. But there is just something missing. I think if I was to narrow it down it would be due to my he dad character. He just isn't believable.

Look for better Xmas movies, save this one until you run out of all the good ones.

Day Shift (2022)

I loved it!

Really enjoyed this film. I'm not one to write a review but I thought I'd set the record straight for the "normal" people that just watch films to be entertained and pass the time. To take you to another place rather than this awful world we do live in.

I love this film, it's action packed and I loved every character! Snoop Dogg! Omg he was fab! Such a laugh and I loved the relationship between Bud and Seth.

The fighting was exceptionally choreographed.

So make up your own mind. Don't listen to the critics that expect every film to be perfect! I just want a film to keep me interested and entertained. This ticked both boxes.

Matchmaker Santa (2012 TV Movie)

Cheesy but great

I really enjoyed this Christmas movie. Yes they aren't going to win any awards. But to pass some time and escape the real life this is just the ticket.

Some of these made for tv I know straight from the start if I can watch them or not. Some you just know there's too much cheese. This one obviously wasn't one of those. I liked both main stars and loved Father Christmas!

Grab a cuppa and a packet of biscuits and you are all set.

These cheesy Christmas movies aren't for everyone. I like them because they are entertaining and they take you out of your mundane life for a an hour or so. Yes they aren't going to warm any Oscar's but if like me, you like romance and Christmas then give them a go.

This one I particularly liked. It's a feel good movie with som very likeable characters. It might not be a man's man film (I'm not sexist) but it's enjoyable and I gave it nine stars just because it's highly entertaining with some great views and history. I liked it.

If you have nothing better to do, give it a go, you never know.

What's with all the hate?

Ok, so unlike most of the reviewers here, I don't expect a film to be perfect. I expect it to be entertaining. Did this entertain me? Hell yes!

I'm a die hard action junkie. So anything like this gets my thumbs up. I think Liam is a bit past the action star roles now, he wouldn't have the strength to do half of this stuff in real life. But that being said, for an action film it's very entertaining and kept my attention. I don't read into it too much. I judge if it holds my focus and this did.

If you like Liam (Guy is great too) then go for it. Ignore the hate. It's great way to escape every day life.

Great acting just a shame about the ending

I was unsure whether to keep watching but every week I did tune in. After the full 6 episodes I can now honestly say I wish I hadn't bothered. I just don't feel like the ending showed me the reason for wasting 6 hours of my time tuning in each week. It was just one acid trip after another. The ending perhaps wasn't meant to be the end of it all? But if there is another series I definitely won't bother watching it. It's a shame because the acting was great and I wanted to like it!

Action adventure with a great cast.. What's not to like?

This is my very first review.. I feel compelled to write this as there are quite a few haters.. I bet those haters haven't given it a chance.. I'm up to date on sky watching it and I have to tell you that it just gets better and better! I look forward to watching it every week.. I thought there would be nowhere to go once a cure could be found but OMG I love the story line.. I'm an action junkie and I love all things action packed.. This ticks all my boxes.. I love all the individual characters and you really get to know them and love following them all each week.. of course my favorite is Captain Tom Chandler but to be honest I think all of the cast do a great job.. Give it a chance, when my daughter first recorded it I thought oh god another series all about a virus outbreak.. But there is much much more to this than just the outbreak.. I'm not American but it gives you the sense of pride these people feel to be part of the military.. If you are looking for a show that thrills you, keeps you interested all the way and really does make you want more..This is it!! Ignore the haters.. Bet they judged it from the first episode rather than giving it a chance to shine!! I love every episode!
