Lara (2017)
New way to suck on movies and series
They can't act, they can't direct, they can't even do a read-over. If you're bored out of your mind, you might wanna give it a shot but otherwise, don't try it.
Last Days in the Desert (2015)
Bad movie on so many levels
I'm so grateful that I didn't watch this movie in a theater. On DVD you can skip and fast forward some of the boring scenes. The music is good, the movie does contain a twist about the main character, but that's all that keeps me from giving it an extremely low mark. The plot is horrible, boring, and the supporting actors don't make do. I would strongly advise anyone not to watch this.
The Survivalist (2015)
Not the best, not the worst
It's surely not the best but also not the worst survival movie I've seen. It has "survival" mistakes that someone living 7 years in the wild should not do.
He makes his own fuel for the lamp but also needs wick and he uses a cotton one. 7 years worth of cotton wick it's a lot. Think several hundred feet at least.
In 7 years he remained way to dependent on non-renewable technology like the shotgun for witch he only has 2 shells. He didn't made at least a bow and arrows, or a crossbow. Only has bear traps and no pitfalls or anything like that to protect his "empire".
The acting is OK. If you don't wanna see an old hag naked, just skip the scenes when the old lady takes a bath and the one when she is buried.
As I said, I've seen better survival movies, and I've also seen bigger budgets that were way worse.
Oceans Rising (2017)
Don't watch this movie
You have been warned. People that gave a rating of 10 must be from the movie company itself trying to promote this. If you want ANYTHING that's tens of times better than this, just watch random stuff made by amateurs. This movie is way beyond bad. Actually 1 is way to high for this kind of movie. 0 or below would be better.
Forks Over Knives (2011)
Not the best documentary
The crew of this documentary follow some claims that ALL animal based food is bad for your health. One doctor presented a study that says 20% casein will encourage cancer in rats while 5% casein will make it go back. Then it jumps to the conclusion that ALL and ANY animal based proteins are a source of all evils in human health.
Nowhere in the entire movie they will show proof that you need to be at 0% animal protein.
When they talk about the low cancer rates in Japan they just skip the information that they are fish and seafood eaters and they just go to a study made in China.
This is a terrible vegan PR movie. I'm not against vegan-ism, nor against vegetarianism, I'm just saying they pretend knowing everything while they don't seem to be able to distinguish left from right.
My own conclusions after seeing this film is that people need to dial down their animal based diets. Not really not eat that, just do it in moderation, not on a daily basis.
