Zeroville (2019)
OK if you've read the book
Appreciate james francos adaptation. If you're into films and enjoyed the book this is decent. Not great but the book is a trip so this was bound to be weird. Some funny moments.
Curb Your Enthusiasm: Man Fights Tiny Woman (2021)
This show needs to be put out to pasture
The jokes are obvious. The formula is tired. The storylines are contrived. Everything has gotten so slow and they try to make up for it with more and more dumb scenarios. This show jumped the shark. Time to call in a career Larry.
Identity (2003)
A very early 2000s thriller, looks rather silly years later
Lets just start with the fact that "multiple identity syndrome" is not even a real thing. Its all just a bit overdone and goofy looking at it today. Still entertaining but lacking the depth and intellect that we come to expect from more modern thrillers.
Hell or High Water (2016)
Best Western in a decade
No country for old men but without the weight of the Coen brothers.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
A movie so formulaic and money hungry the actual band would be sick (if they weren't being paid)
So silly and obvious. When even the closest thing to band turmoil immediatelyis resolved by a bass line and them writing a hit song (Another one bites the dust) you know it's dumb. No introspection, no heart. Nothing but the classics and some bad accents.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Maybe it's time Tarantino retired after all
No motivation for any of the action up until the final act. Margot Robbie could have been entirely eliminated from the film and it wouldn't have changed a thing except saving us 40 minutes. Without Pitt's character this might have been a razzie. Love Tarantino but I'm no longer sad he's calling it quits.
