Lucy (I) (2014)
8/10
Ignorance brings chaos, not knowledge.

Warning: Spoilers
If I understand this movie correctly it combines the movie Crank, Jean Grey from X-men, and La Camaleón from Machete Kills into one? With that being said there is nothing wrong with any of the characters or any of the actors in those films and portraying those parts, but this movie did a good job of combining those characters together into one badass female character.

Scarlett Johansson showed me in this movie that she can play a lead role in a movie very well and should be given this opportunity more often.

Lucy has powers the normal mind cannot fathom, but this is what I wanted from the movie. I don't want it dumbed down just because it is a movie I wanted to see how she sees therefore getting the real story of Lucy. Lucy is at war with this Asian gang of drug-dealers whom apparently are not afraid of catching any blood-born illnesses. She is able to use 100% of her brain power as opposed to the normal humans 15%. Lucy can read minds, change her appearance, move things with her mind, read extremely fast, change her cell structure, time travel and much more.

The funny part I found in the movie was Lucy is able to learn and become extremely smart, but she cannot walk in high heels. It's also hard for me to read the critic reviews and actually think that they really watched the movie. The part where Lucy reads the scientist mind and finds his daughter was in a car crash she was obviously not just reading his mind to convince him of her power she was doing something to him to convince him as well. Just like the part where Lucy kisses Pierre Del Rio for no apparent reason to the viewer. She was using her power to convince him of something. She put something into his brain. This is the director playing a trick on the viewers making them not believe something just because the didn't see it. If you watched the movie you would know what she is capable of and it should be really easy to comprehend what is going on in the movie. There are somethings that are spelled out for the viewers and some that are not. I don't expect a movie to explain everything nor do I like a film that does. There has to be something left open for the imagination and Luc Besson did a wonderful job doing just that. I thought the ending was perfect considering all she learned and what she saw.

The Wolverine (2013)
9/10
Great film about the second best member of X-Men
11 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Excellent movie with incredible scenery and spectacular actors. This movie gets my vote as the best X-Men movie of the franchise. It gets deep into the story of Wolverine and does a really good job at keeping the entertainment at an all time high.

Wolverine is trying to decide if his powers are a good thing or a bad thing. His powers can be very stressful as those around him are not able to keep up with him and be by his side as he wished. The problems with this film and why I did not give it a 10 is the Logan and Mariko's relationship. I was thinking Logan had more chemistry or it would make a better story if he hooked up with Yukio. I just think the chemistry was not there for Logan and Mariko.

The other problem with this movie is after watching it I cannot enjoy X-Men Days of Future Past.

The only thing needed after this movie is an Origins made about the Jean Grey character. I do believe she is the strongest character in the X-Men and she deserves her own standalone movie.

X-Men: Disappointment of Future and Past
11 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was a huge disappointment for me because it felt like a filler movie (A movie that is not needed/created just for monetary purposes/contributes nothing to the story of the preceding movies) The movie had great visuals and seeing all the mutants together in the same film was amazing, but that is not why I see movies nor do I encourage anyone to do so.

I enjoyed The Wolverine movie, but did not enjoy this. Sitting through this movie felt like a chore. Several parts were not needed and it felt like it was dragged on way too long. I think the part where Magneto was moving the stadium was dragged on far too long. Parts like these make me believe that if Wolverine was really time traveling during a battle that he would easily be captured or killed considering how long he was taking. I understand he was not time traveling in another part of the universe like in the movie Interstellar so the time should correlate with the present time.

The other parts of the movie I did not like were how the movie presented the mutants as arrogant a-holes that have superpowers. They were so arrogant that they didn't even have sympathy for a fellow mutant. I understand that this was before the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, but still is this the only two things the mutants have in common with each other?

We look, but don't touch

Underground has great actors and an even better story line. This movie should be more popular than it is. I'm not sure how much of the movie is real because I'm not Julian Assange, but I can say you can tell they tried to make it as accurate as possible. Considering I grew up using computers in the late 80's and onward I can easily understand this movie. For someone that has only been around computers for the past 5-10 years might have complications trying to understand the movie. I haven't been able to get the complete story on how computers were adapted in other countries in the late 80's so that was interesting for me to see represented in the movie.

I feel the pieces left out in the movie are left out for a reason. This is a movie that was made to entertain and inform. We all know if you want the full story you must read the book or do research. You have to expect some parts left out in the film.

I like Underground because it is not biased. The movie gave me a story of a hacker and it let me formulate my own opinion of him. My opinion is that I cannot give this movie a bad review considering what is being played in theaters and popular today.

You cannot help noticing the people that actually watched the movie gave it rave reviews.

I can quote Marianno Gorgeski "He is our Che Guevara of the modern internet era." Couldn't say it better myself. Also like he said he is trying to do more for the world than Facebook and the like are trying to do. That is why he is seen as a threat.

The only summary that I came up with after watching this film is Julian Assange is seen as a genius because the world has become lazy and incompetent. If the people demanded the truth like they should I think we would all praise Julian for what he stands for.

Loved MPS on R&B then and now

Warning: Spoilers
I guess I'm just a fan of the concept of a dog adopting a boy. I was a fan of Mr. Peabody & Sherman shorts on Rocky & Bullwinkle they were the best ones in my opinion and now they are still amusing to watch. Either that or I'm just trying not to over analyze a kids movie.

Ty Burrell does a good job at trying to capture the original voice which I can admit at first it is too much then you get over it by the middle of the movie. You have to remember it is the modern version. I enjoyed the movie I just did not get the addition of the fifth wheel which was Penny in this movie. I felt like part of the story line could of fit in a sequel, but should not have been in the first movie. They could of had the first movie about who Mr. Peabody & Sherman is, then they could have a sequel where Sherman is teased and ends up going against the grain and turning into a bad boy.

Still nonetheless this will have to go in the book as the best Rocky & Bullwinkle (spinoff??) movie thus far. I don't think any of the Rocky & Bullwinkle movies did them any justice. Making the animated characters meet with the real world was something only Roger Rabbit could accomplish and it did not seem right for Rocky & Bullwinkle. Mr. Peabody & Sherman stayed in it's lane and gave us the full story plus another entertaining one.

I enjoyed the movie and that is all that matters.

Interstellar (2014)

70mm IMAX a MUST
4 November 2014
I gave this movie a 9 out of 10 because while it is not perfect because nothing is, I at least thought it was perfect for the genre. I also would like to not that a vote of 9.5 is impossible for some reason and I think that is insane. People say all the time sci-fi is a hard genre and I disagree. The truth of the matter is space is a hard subject to make an interesting movie about.

In this movie the only problem is if you have seen Gravity you at least got to look at a beautiful woman on the screen for quite some time. This movie (I have to be honest) Anne Hathaway does not look her best. Which makes sense because how can someone expect to look like a top model while spending so much time in space? Any who I had the pleasure in seeing this movie in 70mmm IMAX film and let me say I highly recommend it. I wish all theaters or at least all of the people wanting to see this film could see it in 70mm. I felt like it was the way the movie was intended on being viewed. Overall great movie for the fans of space.

This movie is the dream of any kid that has ever dreamed of space. My second and last tip for those who have not seen the movie yet, is pay attention from the first minute to the last. You have to pay attention or you will miss something. Which we should all know by now since the Director is Christopher Nolan.
