Claymation Christmas Celebration (1987)
A Christmas Must
When I was younger,"Claymation Christmas Celebration" was aired on TV. We would watch it, but as time wore on, years, the station that once showed the show stopped. Recently my father order "Claymation Christmas Celebration" on DVD and we watched it the other night. At first I could not remember any of it. But I was amazed at what I saw. Today we have the special effects done on computer, but the claymation was very impressive. Each song was beautifully represented as was the picture that went with it. The DVD came with the Halloween and Easter Claymation shows and we could not stop laughing at all three show. The best is the announcers and the various guests that come by as they are trying to introduce the songs. But each piece is very well done. My favorite is most likely the Carol of the Bells. The California Raisins are very funny and entertaining, well the whole thing is.
Vercingétorix (2001)
Movie that should not be so harshly criticized
Recently I rented Druids, Vercingetorix, to go along the ancient Roman/Greek theme movies that I had been watching. There's some good and different movies out there... This movie was enjoyable to the most part, giving the audience a clearer understanding of who Ceaser was up against. Not to long ago on TV, a programed was aired about Ceaser, both show the characters in a different light. Personally I am not really a fan of any of the actors in this film, but they did a good job in filling their character's personalities. The one actor that I disliked in the film was the guy who played Ceaser, true he did do a good job, but his body stature was not what I picture Ceaser to look like. Of course other films give us other ideas on how Ceaser should look. Vercingetorix builds the main characters struggles and what he suffers. Yes this film has it's strange parts, but all in all it is worthy to watch, rent at least.
