The Irregulars (2021)

Good entertainment.

Dont be fooled by the bad reviews. Sure its not for everyone. Its a mix of His Dark materials, meeting the Magicians with a touch of The Illusionist and The greatest showman, sprinkled with a dash of Discovery of witches.

I enjoyed that the music was modern and didnt 'fit in'. Tbh the soundtrack is pretty decent.

Acting alright. A bit of cliche here and there but overall entertaining. And thats what you want, right?

I am hopping for a season 2.

This was just a horrible movie. And the gecko? What the actual f..... Glad I fell asleep and missed the last 30 minutes. Dont watch. I got no idea why people give this movie 7/8.

This was a boring movie. Nothing else to say about it really. Kind of good acting at times, but overall just wasnt a movie for me personally. Some might enjoy it, but if you want cop drama/action and stuff blowing up, this aint the one for you.

As many point out, dont put too much into all the negative comments. Its a fun and sweet movie. Its about friendship and how we grow apart sometimes. Its about boys growing up.

IT has some really funny comments as well.

I really enjoyed this movie.

Dont mind all the neysayers.

Pet Sematary (2019)

I started to play Candy Crush midway. I remember loving the original as a kid. I did however not have high hopes for the remake. And I was right. Boring and that pretty much sums it up. Cant wait for it to end. Bet I have beaten a few levels in Candy Crush by then.

Black Summer (2019–2021)

Luckily the episodes are rather short so I managed to watch all in one go. The only reason I watched all was because.. I dont even know why.

Flaws. Stupid actions..the zombies grunted and ran like they were some duracell rabbit on speed.

Not my genre. But I would have enjoyed it more if it wasnt utterly stupid. I assume those that like this genre can be more entertainer, however also find the show to be quite bad.

Smallfoot (2018)

Its sweet, funny and has a deeper meaning...Good sountrack (very suitable). I was a bit 8/10, but ended up at 7..hmm. Reminds me a bit of Coco in some ways. Loved the colours in the movie and its totally worth your time!

Wow. This was utter crap for me.. From beginning to end. How this can have this good of a score is way beyond me...better bring the booze for this. This was one of the worst movies I have seen in.. A very very very long time..

One should more or less never listen to others when it comes to movies. For me, I have barely heard about this movie so I decided giving it a go (not knowing what I ventured into).

The movie is all kind of weird, the neon signs, the whole dark atmosphere..but I really enjoyed it overall. It has a good soundtrack as well, which is something you should not disregard!

Overall acting/casting was good.

For some reason it reminded me a bit of The Grand Budapest Hotel (do not ask me why)...

And stay with it to the end!!!! I think you will get yourself a nice suprise by watching this seemingly "simple and quiet" movie:)

This was a big let down. The plot and story line and all made no sense. They need to stop making more, but I will be darned if there isnt another coming. I cannot comment on anything that was good with this.. Ah well maybe except the cgi. No ned to watch this really. You dont miss out on anything.

Heroes Wanted (2016)

Easy watch

I found this one on Netflix and was in a "whatever works" mood. So I decided..porque no..Watch this one. It is a silly movie and overall I actually enjoyed it. I did not know what to expect, because I rarely watch Spanish movies. It is not the world's greatest comedy/nor acting, but I still think they managed to make it enjoyable. So - if you are in the same mood as me or just want to watch something easy going, this might be a good option. It is somewhat a low budget movie, but that also makes it silly. What I do like about movies (lets say from Spain), is that the actors are unknown for me (even if they are well known from TV etc in their own country)..and thats a good thing. I cant even tell you how fed up I am with the same overused actors in movies. No names mentioned, no names forgotten.

Try it and you might find yourself enjoying yourself for 1.5 hour=)

Alien: Covenant (2017)

Wow. OK, I must admit I might not be the world's #1 alien movie fan, but I do appreciate different genres and I always try to give movies a chance. This movie though. I had way more fun reading all the bad reviews. Film was a mess. Nothing to see here. You should try to sleep through it, you will most likely have more fun sleeping. Everything about this movie made me face palm myself, laugh (like this crazy tormented laugh), toss hands in despair out in the air...Nothing made sense. Stay away. And if you insist on watching it..better crack open some beers, you will need it!

Life (I) (2017)

Wow. It was not my idea to watch this movie, but I ended up watching it. This was just horrible from start to the end. The plot is almost non existing and the acting is poor and so one and so on..This is though what happens, spend a lot of money on poorly executed movies instead of making good ones.

So they are in space and they all seem like they just got dropped off at some point. Just a bunch of random people at some space station collecting information about Mars? Finally they end up finding something and then it all goes south from there.

How it manages to just go downhill is way beyond me, I mean, did they also find the stupidest people to randomly drop on that space station? How were they selected? What purpose did they really serve? Did mankind rely on these people for some reason? There are so many questions and none of them got answered. Plot holes, bad script and stupid decisions.

And what of that alien guys? Come on. How silly was that one..? And they friggin gave it a name..I must admit I don't care much for movies with aliens to begin with, but I mean, this was just stupid and Calvin looked like some vegetable or a sea horse of sorts.

I just started laughing at some point during the movie, not because it was entertaining, but because of the stupidity of the whole thing. And also - the ending? *Shakes head* Lets not hope it gives room for a sequel.

This is probably the worst movie I have seen in a while. I gave it 3 just to be nice. Don't watch this unless you are super hungover, soo bored that nothing helps, have time to waste or something. Not worth you time at all. Trust me on this one.

Opening Night (II) (2016)

I had not read about this movie when I watched it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the witty comments and references. It had me laughing quite a few times. I feel it is a bit of a "parody" in some ways, but no overkill by any means. It was a fun and easy watch. I think you have to like the genre musical, even if this is not a 100% musical. A bit goofy and silly overall, just as I like it. Cast was OK as well, good mix of known and less known. Movie of the year? No, but worth 1.5 hours in my opinion.

Snitch (I) (2013)

Do you miss the real story behind?

People seem more interested in his voice and discussing if the character playing his son was his real son, and how that came to be.

Take a look at takepart.com/snitch - for me as a non US citizen I sort of got the feeling that the law is a bit unjust to some people. I am not saying there should not be taken action on those doing a criminal offense. But like the son in this movie, who received an package with a tracking device and could get 10 years for that. Is this how it really works, and how is that preventive and also how is that sentence justified?

Just saying.

Movie wasn't a top notch one, if we are to discuss that fact, but it was better than Peter Pan (that made me so sleepy).

OK acting here and there, so I don't feel like I wasted my time seeing it.

The Golden Compass (2007)

I really was excited about this movie, even tough I haven't read the books or heard of it in advance. I had only seen the trailer for some time ago. As the movie began to enfold its self - I was kinda bored at a certain time. I didn't really get the movie. Tough, all in all it was quite OK to watch it. It gets cred for lovely colours, filming and animation as well. I really thought they did a good job with the animations.

And oh - I read the trivia - guess what I found there. It was really hilarious to read it..let us just see what (but you have to have in mind that I origin from Norway, and have been living here for the past 24 years)..

"Some scenes were shot in Scandinavian locations such as Norway and Svalbard, but none of the actors were allowed to perform there, as the producers didn't want them to fall ill due to the extreme temperatures."..

Haha - that is the worst thing I have ever read. Extreme temperatures? Like right now? It's somewhere between -1/2 Celsius degrees. Kinda non-extreme if you ask me. But no one did obviously. So - extreme temperatures, or demanding actors? Or Americans? And by the way, those snow bears, aren't real, and they do not live in my garden, I repeat, they do not live in my garden. I haven't seen one either, just on Animal Planet. Just thought I should let you all know...:)

The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)

The movies about Che Guevara on a road trip with his friend and the lousy, but important, motorcycle, who takes them around South America.

Not the best movie I've seen. I actually thought it was kinda boring at times, and even though I like the revolutionary Che Guevara, this still wasn't my movie.

But, it contained some lines who were hilarious and some fun scenes, and the film had overall a nice tone, but never the less, it didn't give me as much as I expected it too. But, the movie wasn't that bad, so if you have two hours to spend, you could see this. It will not be a waste of time. A sweet film, who missed something to make it good.

Overall, on a dice...a 3.
