The Puppet (2013)

Very little horror
2 January 2016
It was an interesting movie but felt more like softcore porn than an actual horror movie. The only horror in here last about 10 minutes, literally was only one part of the movie. For the rest of the movie, it was all about sex...thinking it and doing it. I don't mind if there's sex in a movie or anything but I thought I was going to watch a horror movie, not a softcore porn with one scene of horror. The plot was a bit lacking as well...I guess I can see a message but it's pretty jumbled in there and so the whole plot felt diluted and somewhat non- existing. The horror part took way too long to get to, the whole time I watched it, I was wondering if I was watching a movie that was accidentally classified as horror. All in all...not what I expected. Don't watch this if you're looking for an actual horror movie. This should be on the very bottom of any horror movie list. As just a movie in general, it can be a 3. Not too much excitement in any way, there's not too much dialogue that seemed important, very indistinguishable plot...it's a movie that should be watched if you ran out of movies to watch. The only good thing about the movie is that the acting is okay, the people are not bad to look at, and if tons of sex and nakedness (if you are into that), then this is for you.

It was OK, seemed more like a comedy than horror
8 January 2013
It was OK, there were concepts in the movie that was new, like the plot. I like the new storyline to the movie but there were so many parts in the movie that made it seem more like a comedy than anything. There was barely any gore...a lot more gore in the other movies and the most gruesome part in the movie...was fake looking. It's an entertaining movie nonetheless...just don't expect much horror...couple of jumpy scenes but most of the movie gave me the "Why the hell would you do that...?" and "OMG...wow...". Don't want to give anything away in the movie so you won't know what I mean until you see the movie, but I laughed throughout most of this movie. I do give major props for amazing 3d effect though, better 3d than most movies...good enough to where you don't forget that it's 3d (like how i forgot that The Avengers was in 3d most of the time...).
