The title tells you the outcome, how stupid.
12 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I love crime documentaries, but only quality ones with a good story. This one was poorly made with the title that tells you the outcome, how stupid. Reading the title one knows who committed the crime. Also in addition to the title that gave it away, and who kills 2 people and leaves a witness to the murders alive. I knew first few minutes what the outcome will be. It's time to produce good quality documentaries not garbage like this. The networks are looking for high viewership yet put no effort to produce quality programs, documentaries, tv series or movies. People are tired of garbage shows, needs quality not quantity.

Wow truly beautiful movie.
24 September 2023
I was not sure if I was going to like this movie since so many movies disappointed me . What a beautiful surprise, what a great movie. It's a piece of history. Done so well. It touched my heart. Great acting, at times you just see the emotions on the face and body language without actors saying a word. Such a delicate gentle story filled with pain and happiness. Written, directed and acting in the main role by Michael A. Goorjian. So obvious he has so much talent. Excellent direction with deep writing and great original music combined with some ethnic music. Highly recommended, you will walk out of the movie happy that you watched a quality movie doesn't happen very often.

Teach arrogant yet ignorant healthcare workers a lesson!!
21 September 2023
Take Care of Maya is a beautifully made documentary, but because of the grotesque behavior by the healthcare professionals and the Johns Hopkins All Children's hospital its heart breaking and very difficult to watch. But why am I not surprised, because many doctors if can't diagnose the ailment the patient is suffering from they gaslight the patient and label them "crazy" and its all in their head, often prescribe antidepressants or other mood altering meds. Same thing happened here they could not diagnose the child's illness therefore they decided the mother is "crazy" exaggerating the child's symptoms because of her own emotional issues. Shame on the doctors and Johns Hopkins Children's hospital, but I am not surprised. The verdict is in the jury rewarded over 250 million dollars to Maya Kowalsky, now more patients that have been disrespected by the arrogant yet ignorant medical profession need to stand up and open lawsuits to teach them a lesson.

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

Don't believe high star ratings are real.
27 August 2023
Don't believe high star ratings are real. Oppenheimer movie was a major disappointment, was looking forward to seeing it because of the hype, I learned my lesson. This movie was a snooze fest, I saw many sleeping on their reclining chairs. To add to boredom most of the movie had constant "elevator music" in the background while people were talking, that made it hard to understand what they were saying, even with my perfect hearing. The movie kept jumping from scene to scene was very hard to follow and after a while one does not care, too much effort to follow when the headache kicks in. So many are saying the movie is too long, correction it's the same length as The Godfather, nobody says The Godfather was too long, the truth is that Oppenheimer movie bored us to death.

Made like a cheap Lifetime movie.
14 May 2023
Why get great actors and make a poor show. Very hard to follow ,and I have watched the Peterson trial and am familiar with the story, made like a lifetime cheap movie. What a shame could have been so good, an interesting story and an unusual legal case. If you want to watch a well made documentary about Michael Peterson case watch a great documentary (unlike this show) by the same name on Netflix. It's made by an academy award winner, and it has the actual trial and hearings, the cameras followed the family , attorneys and Michael Peterson from day one, it's real, intense and an astonishing look at our judicial system.

Excellent Documentary!!!
14 May 2023
I watch many documentaries, love reality vs Hollywood BS. This documentary is excellent, so real, so intense. Made by an Academy award winner director De Lestrade who spent 15 years making this amazing documentary. The cameras started following the Michael Peterson case from day one, cameras were there when the family fell apart, when the family sat down for family dinner. Cameras followed the attorneys when preparing for the trial, spending days with the trial experts looking at the evidence, fascinating to be a fly on the wall when all this is happening and also the trial. Astonishing look at our judicial system, really worth watching.

Succession: Connor's Wedding (2023)
Season 4, Episode 3

WOW just Wow
11 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved season one of Succession but gradually started loosing interest, last episodes felt very repetitious, felt like it was all business intrigue and not enough human angle. A friend insisted that I should watch Connor's Wedding episode. Wow just Wow excellent , my hat off to the writers and actors!!!! It was breathtaking, made me cry ( don't often cry or use the word breathtaking). The way Logan's children handled their father's death was so real, each one in their own way, shows after all no matter how old we are or how we may resent our parents there is still a child in all of us. Thank you to the writers and actors, a huge Congratulations for creating such a memorable episode!!!! And let's not forget excellent music by super talented Nicholas Britell!!

Wow just wow .... what a spectacular movie making!!!!!
25 February 2023
Wow just wow..... the movie making of All Quiet on the Western front is surreal. The direction, the acting, the makeup, camera angles depiction of horrors of war makes you forget to breath. Some are complaining there is not much of a story line or not the same storyline as the original movie. If you want a storyline watch something on the Hallmark network, and if you want spectacular cinematography this is as good as it gets. Reminded me of Peter Jackson's 1915 movie which I loved but All Quiet on the Western Front is above 1915, its more dimensional and much more advanced in movie making. By the way watch the making of the movie on Netflix fascinating, its about 30 min long.

A beautiful movie, negative reviews written by people who wanted to be scared rather then think
30 December 2022
A beautiful movie, negative reviews written by people who wanted to be scared rather then feel and think. Beautifully written directed and well acted. If you are looking for a cheap thrill to get "scared" like people that wrote negative reviews you will be disappointed. But if you want a gentle beautiful movie that touches feelings, thoughts and wishes in you this is it. This movie is not a "horror'' in a classic sense, but what a movie it is, definitely worth watching for those that are not looking for cheap thrills and for monsters that appear when least expected to scare them, but looking for a movie that provokes thoughts and feelings.

Fleishman Is in Trouble (2022–2023)
7/10
Different then usual shows
21 December 2022
Fleishman is in Trouble is a gentle, emotional depiction of life with all it's difficulties, parenting, pains and joys. At times so unfair and mean, but that's life. Acting is great, Jesse Eisenberg is excellent in his role very convincing makes you feel for the character. It is refreshing not to have a banal show with routine murder and a male and female detectives trying hard to solve it. I do like mysteries but there are so many of poorly written detective shows that look and feel the same. Fleishman is in Trouble is very different, thats what makes it good, refreshing plus good direction and acting.

Ronny Chieng: Speakeasy (2022 TV Special)
1/10
Not funny at all Netflix got another poor show
21 December 2022
I thought Chieng's previous stand up was ok but this one is not funny, he repeats the same sentence over and over. Weak jokes that never take off, and when he really run out of material and started telling us as part of his comedy routine that babies come from diarrhea (don't ask lol), repeating it over and over to kill time it was more then I could endure. That was the end of Ronny Chieng's Speakeasy Netflix stand up comedy special for me. Netflix can do better then this but for some reason proves to us over and over that they can't, no wonder Netflix is struggling with shows like this, it's easy.

Wow what happened? Use to love Sebastian's stand ups, switched the channel midway.
8 December 2022
Husband and I loved Sebastian's stand up, watched each episode a couple of times. But so disappointed and surprised with Is It Me? Netflix special. What happened to sharp, witty, clever punchlines, ethnic warm humor that made us laugh, it felt like it never took off. Although was not funny at all we watched it awhile, after all it was Sebastian. Midway my husband turned to me and ask if I want to go back to the movie we were watching before and put it on hold to watch Sebastian. Wow what happened?? So disappointed , so many stand up comedians that are not funny but Sebastian was a huge exception, hoping that a talent like Sebastian will go to his original zesty humor that everybody loved so much..

Pieces of Sh....t.
8 September 2022
Can't get any worse, another Netflix garbage. Wow this movie so poorly written, so unrealistic. Where do they find writers that have no clue yet write for a movie.

There are a bunch of reviews here that have 10 stars, and the wording is so over the top probably people that took part in the movie making and their family put the reviews.

Venessa Kirby looks like she just woke up or is on very heavy tranquilizers, flat boring acting.

Netflix has to do better, no wonder they are struggling, need quality original programing, not garbage boring movies like Pieces of a woman. I would have given less then one star if it was possible.

Bad Sisters (2022– )
9/10
Worth watching, thank you Apple TV!!
7 September 2022
Corky, dark and comedic, starts with a dead man in a coffin with an erection that the wife tries to conceal, love it lol. Bad sisters series is so much fun very well written with big imagination. Love the eclectic music selection, adds character to the show.

Some British Irish shows are hard to understand for us Americans, because of the thick accent some actors have , but this show is not one of them, the actors have a very clear British accents.

Interesting suspenseful story line coupled with good acting, I just wished they had released all episodes at once, so we can binge. Networks like making us come back every week for a new episode, but many of us want to binge.

The beauty of this show is that the story line is unusual and unexpected, unlike many other predictable shows that we have seen a million times where there is a murder and the police consisting of a male and a female are looking to solve it.

Finally a truly funny show!!!
31 August 2022
I don't often put a review on IMDB because lately they want 600 characters in a review and who has the time. But this show is so clever and so hysterical in a smart way. So many stupid, silly comedies out there I have no patience for, at times I wonder who watches those shows.

But Sprung is so well written with huge imagination and colorful comedic sense. It takes us back to the lunacy times when Corona just happened in a realistic yet hysterical way, when some prisoners were let go before their time.

Sure worth watching, I have seen 4 episodes on Amazon that are released so far, hope it continues this way.

The Patient (2022)

Changing my 10 star review after watching the 3rd episode
30 August 2022
This was my 10 star review.....We seriously need more shows like this, tired of so many garbage shows out there. The Patient is well written, well acted, unusual show, it's Dexter in psychotherapy. Steve Carell's acting is excellent as usual, very convincing as a Jewish therapist, and Domhnall Gleeson created a strange but somewhat likable Dexter like character, extremely knowledgeable in fine foods because of his profession. Keeps explaining the foods he brings home from restaurants with fancy names and descriptions. The show has dark humor combined with suspense and intellect. I have watched 2 episodes so far and I hope the quality and the momentum of the initial episodes is maintained. I really enjoyed it.... And this is my 5 star review ....after waiting a whole week for the 20 min 3rd episode changed my review to 5 stars. It's like getting a box of chocolates and when you open it there is only one half eaten chocolate.episodes are too short and empty not worth waiting 1 week for a half eaten piece of chocolate. Could have been excellent great acting ,could have been an interesting storyline, it may still be but for now it's not worth the 1 week wait for 20 mins of emptiness.

More Woke one sided garbage from Netflix, no wonder Netflix is doing poorly. Many cancelations and having a hard time getting new subscribers, forced to increase subscription pricing. Stop it Netflix!!!

So poorly made.
9 August 2022
I love true crime documentaries, but this one is painfully dull. Maybe a good story, but this documentary is so poorly made, handful of boring people trying to tell the story without a break and put whoever is watching to sleep after getting a headache. Netflix needs to improve their program quality, no wonder Netflix is struggling.

Gripping well made documentary.

Gripping well made documentary, hard to find nowadays. Fascinating yet sad story, definitely worth watching. The movie maker is the son of the prosecutor that put the suspect in prison, very interesting.

It's like watching paint dry

Great actors good acting but excruciatingly slow, It's like watching paint dry. When would they make some good shows without dragging it on to get more episodes out of it. I guess they make more money that way.

Just when I was giving up on finding a good show on cable
25 July 2022
Just when I was giving up on finding a good show on cable found Black Bird. Paul Walter Hauser's acting is spectacular what a talent, I first noticed him in Richard Jewel movie. Great writing not like some other stupid writings that insult one's intelligence, also well made. So rare to find a quality show nowadays so much garbage out there, glad found this. Thank you Apple TV they have better quality Originals.

Beyond light, beyond air headed.
18 July 2022
I knew it was going to be a light movie with some visually appealing clothing and scenes. But this was beyond light, beyond air headed just stupid, with hardly anything visually appealing, just walked out midway. Initial positive reviews are obviously from people that worked on the movie to give the movie going a boost.
