You're Next (2011)
The best thriller/horror you'll see.
The main character is just a totally unexpected bada$$. If you like films about killing sprees, you'll like this. If you love when one character just steals the show out of the blue and takes down dudes twice her size, you will LOVE IT. She's smart, skilled, innovative, methodical and extremely cool under pressure. I cheered for her through the whole movie. The amount of "GET IT GIRL!!!"'s that came out of my mouth is almost embarrassing. Greed has got to be the most repulsive motivation in my opinion, but it really made for a fabulous film. This has to be one of my absolute favorites in this genre. The plot twists are great. Sure, some are a bit expected, but good nonetheless. Hope you enjoy as much as I did! YOU'RE NEXT!

A refreshingly original, superlative rendition of a classic.
I just watched this for the first time and was just amazed by this version of a tale as old as time. In a sea of unoriginal Christmas films, this one truly stands out; a refreshing and authentic spin on a mountain of stagnant Santa movies.
I'd heard of this and seen it on Holiday watch lists, but never felt compelled for fear I'd waste an hour and a half on the same old story we've all heard a thousand times. Boyyy, am I glad I watched it. The main character, Jesper, is at first an uninteresting, selfish, trust find type of guy whose development was a joy to watch. Taken out of his element and desperate to get back into it, he helped completely renovate a miserable town and flip it into a hopeful, heartwarming place. I never thought I'd see a Santa story with such a major face lift! Definitely adding this to my yearly movie watchlist, rolled up in a blanket, candles lit with some hot chocolate (heavy on the marshmallows)!
Overall an absolutely exuberant and well thought out film, great for people of all ages. 10 stars!

The absolute dumbest movie I have ever watched. Absolute trash.
I implore you not to waste your time watching this. And honestly, the only thing worse than this garbage film is the soundtrack. I saw the reviews for this movie and thought "oh this sounds like it will be a silly bad movie to fill up my afternoon" NOPE. It was just bad. Awful. Actually painful to watch at times. Just say no. STUPID.

WHY DID THEY NOT SHOW ELSA KOEPKE'S PAINTING?!
Really good show overall, but the fact that he looked at that painting over and over and talked about it, almost showed it but never actually showed it drove me INSANE!
The Spanish Princess (2019)
Were they really unable to find REAL Spanish actors?
Literally one of the Spaniards is ACTUALLY Spanish. You can say "that's just good acting", but I beg to differ. The acting was not great and the "Spanish princess" was born in england. Could they not have at least found an actress of Iberian decent? The casting was very poor in the fact that she didn't even resemble her parents from this show or the white princess. It really bothers me that they felt the need to pass off English and other ethnicities as Spanish people. It's insulting.
It Comes at Night (2017)
Overall, it was enjoyable..
But.. I still don't know what comes at night. That really of bothers me, considering it's the title of the film. I know it's labeled a mystery/horror, but it left a bit too much mystery. I would like to have known if the whole family was actually sick before Paul killed them or just the kid? And I kind of wanted to see the sick kid.. even if that's a little macabre. The ending was a little bit of a let down as well with them just sickly, staring blankly at one another; but there you have it. I honestly really dug the movie and would've given it a higher rating if it wasn't for my exigent need to know what comes at night.
