Attention Grabber

I thought this movie was so well done. The Storyline was so interesting. This is one of those movies that you watch to see what happens next. It's very sexual but for the right reasons and used properly. The acting from everyone in this movie was excellent. Angelina was magnificent in this as usual. The scene where, Louis (Antonio) was looking for Julia (Angie) and and saw her at the hotel and came into her room, that scene was amazing. Both of them created this intensity that they were feeling and brought that out very clearly. I have the unrated one and the whole movie from start to finish is a definite attention grabber

Shottas (2002)

Shottas seemed kind of pointless to me. I mean, music, cars, half naked woman, guns, sex, money, you know the regular add some yawdies inna it and what you get: A pointless, gun happy Jamaican movie which I'm tired of seeing. It seems that the only thing you see we come up with. The storyline wasn't good enough for me to enjoy the watch. Me being a Jamaican Canadian, I feel a little disappointed that this movie did so well in the eyes of a lot of people I know but really Jamaica, we can do so much better. The acting from what I remember was actually good.I loved Mad Max. He was very watchable. He was different. His character had the most depth to him. So if more time was spent into the storyline, character development,editing and plotting, then this movie would have been really good, but personally, I was left empty after watching it.

But if you like the things that I stated already then you'll enjoy it. Actually you'll absolutely love it. I know a lot of people who likes it and some people who feel the way I feel. But everyone has their own opinion

Alexander (2004)

I saw the movie. I personally wasn't fond of the portrayal of Alexander. He seemed like a baby at times. The only one that made sense in the movie was Olympias (Alexander's mother). She was the one that told Alex what to do for those years, and it all worked. He loved her so much that he was scared of her. Angelina Jolie did a magnificent job in this movie like she always does. She's the most enjoyable character in the movie. She's so cunning, and dangerously clever like planning the kill the father so Alexander could become king. I could also say that Alexander's wife from Persia had sense too. every actor in this movie did a good job. Val Kilmer played a good king. Make-up artists for this movie was great. When they were in the winter sequence it looked very believable. I also don't remember from what I've learned in history Alexander being bisexual. Overall it's worth the watch.

The Color Purple (1985)

The Casting, the story, the directing... unforgettable

The Color Purple is about the struggles of life and the love that helps those people strongly affected by the struggles of life. Every character had an element of the color purple in them. The movie touches on love, lost, hope, hate, and triumph. whether it be Celie having lived through hell and losing her sister, and Shug coming into her life to show her love again, Albert not being man righting his wrong toward Celie, Shug shunned by her father and confesses to him in the end, Sofia and her stubborness good and bad, and even Nettie, they had their emptiness and hardship through the film but was overcome in the end and that's the sign of a good movie. Good Job to all the cast and crew.
