Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023)

A solid Meh

Meh. Not sure what this is but it's not really Star Trek. Sci-Fi drama yes, but Star Trek no. Where are the ships and Space? What's with all the slow shots and flash backs? - trying to be too fancy sees this be entertaining but not how you expect. I like when it's what it says on the tin.

Pretty typical reminiscent spy story. The story is shallow and predictable but it did what it said on the tin. Inspired by a true story which as since been interesting to research.

Dirt. Why can I not give 0 stars? It deserves 0 stars. It could deserve negative stars because I expected more of this cast. Sadly.....prostituted themselves in this instance.

Robbie and Ernie are too very genuine country men with a great story. The documentary maker did a great job. All I would say is watch this and keep the Kleenex handy.

Hunter Killer (2018)

Look, it's no U571 or Crimson Tide or Hunt For Red October or K19 but it's much better than Black Sea. A little predictable and a little rap me in the flag. Still I watched it till the end.

Not a bad sci-fi flick. All reasonably believable. Love story more so. Pretty girl meats hero. The odd ethical question and a few subtitles to contend with. Cannot say I didn't enjoy it.

The Farthest (2017)

This is an excellent documentary showing the achievement of a team and a piece of technology that launched from our planet in 1977. Imagine if our public money internationally was all so well invested and intrusted to such competent people. Great Irish film making also.
