Underverden (2017)
Brilliant danish realism
I've heard a few people say it, and I agree: this is the best danish movie, in the genre, since Pusher I!
Underverden/Darkland, is a very powerfull, realistic and dark movie.
I got the same feeling as I did with Pusher I - it stuck in my head...it's tough and shocking. You are convinced with the characters, the environment, the atmosphere. It got to the core of me. It's deep. And makes you reflect. 10 thumbs up.
Pusher II (2004)
Pusher II can't compare to Pusher I
I'm very exited about the first film in the Pusher - trilogy. However, Pusher II doesn't even get close to being as good as the first film. Pusher I had a chilling style and nerve to it, something made it authentic and shocking...in just the way you're looking for, I guess - Kim Bodnia, Mads Mikkelsen and the rest of the cast do a brilliant job. Is Pusher I uplifting? Def not. Does it fascinate and thrill you? Def yes.
In the sequel, we follow Tonny, and Mikkelsen is still good in this role, but...what can I say..the film doesn't do it for me at all. It's been eight years since the first movie, maybe time made it hard to make a good follow up.
