The Gentlemen (2024)
9/10
People either survive in the jungle or exist in the zoo. Few recognize the significance of the paradoxical reconciliation of the two
13 March 2024
Alright, listen up, folks! We gotta talk about "The Gentleman" - It's like crack for your TV addiction, I'm telling ya. I plowed through the first four episodes like a man possessed, and let me tell you, it was worth every damn minute.

Right from the get-go, you're sucked into this whirlwind of charm, wit, and pure charisma. Guy Ritchie's fingerprints are all over it - from those cheeky text lines popping up on screen to the slick camera moves and the banter that's just on point.

But let's cut to the chase, the real stars of the show are Eddie and Susan. Theo James as Eddie? Smooth as silk, dripping with charisma, and leading the pack like a boss. And Kaya Scodelario as Susie? She's got beauty, brains, and enough sass to light up the screen.

Now, let's talk about Daniel Ings as Freddy. This guy? He's a revelation. Balancing Freddy's absurdity with the finesse of a tightrope walker, he's bringing the laughs but also some tears in a mishmash measure. And that chicken scene? Legendary stuff, my friends, one of the most memorable moments in the entire show.

Sure, there might be a few plot holes here and there, but hey, who's counting? If you're not too hung up on being a total logic freak, you're gonna have a blast with this show.

Overall? "The Gentleman" is like finding a twenty in your old jacket pocket - unexpected, but man, does it make your day. This show's got cult classic stamped all over it, like a tattoo you got after a wild night out. So grab a brew, park your butt on the couch, and let yourself get sucked into that cinematic whirlwind. Trust me, you'll be thanking me later

And hey, if you're still on the fence, just remember - life's too short for boring TV. So why settle for mediocrity when you can dive headfirst into this show.

A Wes-Andersonesque Bedtime Delight
27 September 2023
If Wes Anderson decided to pen a bedtime story, it might just look like "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar." This 38-minute marvel weaves a tapestry of mystery and whimsy that leaves you both tickled and intrigued.

This isn't a full-blown comedy, but it certainly doesn't shy away from its share of wry humor. The script sprinkles witty quips and playful moments throughout the tale, giving the audience some delightful chuckles. It's a nod to Anderson's signature style - a dash of quirkiness that keeps you grinning.

Benedict, in his first foray into Anderson's cinematic world, shines as Henry Sugar. His portrayal adds depth to this peculiar character, and he's complemented by a stellar supporting cast who bring their own unique flair to the story.

"The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" exudes a distinct theatrical vibe. The set design and the way the scenes are presented feel like a live theater performance. It's a refreshing departure from the conventional cinematic experience, adding a layer of whimsical charm.

This film doesn't aim to tug at your heartstrings or deliver profound messages; it's here to entertain. It's a bedtime story for the child in all of us, a light-hearted adventure that captivates without overwhelming.

In true Wes Anderson fashion, "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" dances to its own whimsical tune, making it a delightful short film that transports you to a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Brad Pitt was the best part of this movie
15 May 2022
Silly, awkward, bad humor, terrible script, I felt a sleep and it was very boring, effects were ok but not a lot of action, I never say this in reviews but yeah, what a waste of time, Brad Pitt story was the only light in this movie.

Entertaining but getting nowhere
27 March 2022
Feels like the viewer enters a certain loop every time, I think the thing that "saves" the series is the great photography, the excellent actors, the black humor and the dialogues, the amazing food that Sean prepares that sometimes throws the viewers into some kind of interactive cooking show and all the production and the special place that is filmed in it, but feels based on it and what I actually see is a kind of series that can never end, without really a particular idea or purpose.

Ok, it's slow and didn't reveal anything, but it's sill such a good series!

Warning: Spoilers
Some of the people say they are disappointed because this episode didn't reveal something or shocked the viewer, but who said it needs to? I mean, this show raised the viewer's expectations from the beginning and maybe that's why some people are a little bit disappointed from this episode.

Anyways, this episode had again such great scenes, the photography in this episode is great, more of Lumon is discovered and the scene with Erving and the black stuff was awesome!!

Let see what's going on next..

Unrealistic and ruins the cinematic viewing experience, despite the impressive production
9 August 2021
It felt like Hollywood gave a 8 years old kid a enormous amount of money to make a movie.

Lots of unrealistic scenes and plot holes that just make the audience to loss faith and trust in that movie..

Good first episode
6 August 2021
The episode begins 3 weeks later to the present with a mystery scene in a jail and in fact already predicts the results and sights to come.

Beautiful photography work and decent acting open the first episode well, there are some slow burn scenes but an exciting and excellent action scene in Jaffa streets along with Tel Aviv beach promenade gives us a taste of more.

Right now in the first episode the mystery still surrounds but its construction begins well, We'll see where this leads in hope that an exemplary series from Fauda's creators will come out here.

Like the movie "Rat Race" but without the race
15 July 2021
This is what came to me after watching the first episode of this show, weird and eccentric characters combined with mixed British humor as Murray Bartlett playing Armand character and the other American "stigmatic" characters.

Great cinematography&editing, funny and witty with great actors!

Let's see how this show goes on...

Bad humor, Great actors, Bad movie
5 July 2021
Just lots of meaningless curses, very bad jokes, kinda reminds me one of those bad comedy collage movies and also gives me the awkwardness sensation of how such good actors can find themselves in such a stupid movie.

Good action scenes, the first scene with magnusson was actually the best in the film with some good laughs and great action scenes, besides that, I will want to forget this movie..

Loki: Glorious Purpose (2021)
Season 1, Episode 1
9/10
A psychological encounter and analysis in the imaginary world of Marvel, presented to the viewer as a interesting basis for atheistic theory.
13 June 2021
Well crafted episode, showing excellent story, full of psychological session and interesting observation of time and life.

While Loki is considered a "god" in the Norse mythology and Marvel's fantasy world, the episode brings a philosophical contrast and actually creates an entirely new dimension that not only Loki did not know, but all of us.

Owen Wilson acts just wonderful, every movie or series he participates in I always wish him success, especially because the sadness I feel towards the actor who has been through quite a bit in life, and here I think his choice seems like they hit the FULL JACKPOT, gentle, cynical, smart and just wonderful in the character "Mobius" shoes.

The editing, photography, acting and production are simply excellent, definitely an interesting series that looks out of the box and does not look for the usual and enslaved action of Hollywood and gives a touch of philosophy, psychology and observation of a special character in which Tom Hiddleston plays wonderfully and inspiringly.

Elements of Wes Anderson conducted by Riley Stearns
11 October 2019
The movie starts off great, smoothly, we feel like a sort of tourist accompanied by the excellent character Casey, played by Jesse Eisenberg, lots of comedic moments in the movie that give us a little look at American society, especially in those small towns. The monologues are interesting and funny and the movie stretches and attracts you throughout without any dull moment in it. One thing that really caught my eye in this film is the photography and directing style that is very reminiscent of Wes Anderson, not only that but also the strange and delusional characters we witness in this film along with Jesse Eisenberg's gritty and indifferent monologues. A very special movie - 8/10

Just a bad movie
14 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Okay. so, I will not write a boring cliché criticism with an opening sentence like: "I wasted 90 minutes of my life," "We should eliminate the director's movie" or "it is better to commit a suicide than watch this movie" Ill just summarize it briefly:

If you love cinema, and understand it a little, do not see this movie. just wait to TV release, or something like that. If you do not understand cinema and you are fans of Hollywood averaging effects and explosions, You can should go and see this movie.

I must say that after all the times I kept saying to myself "what a bad movie" In the film, break, when i went to bathroom, while buying popcorn, in the car , when sleeping, I must admit that the movie has a potential.

The problem is that the filmmakers took a risk and choose unknown actors to play in this movie with a "non easy" like science fiction and the don't had much luck with that, in this case - they were poorly acting, Bad actors, bad script , just a bad bad movie. i should say that the effects were not so bad but pretty cheap.

The idea of the film is quite similar to the film J.J Abrams: "CLOVERFIELD" When focusing on a group of people trapped in the building during scary time with invading aliens that come to earth and destroy anything. But why L.A?, what about the rest of the world? (just from Curiosity :) ) the reason I gave the movie 4 points is for just thinking about the investment effects. except this, the film doesn't deserve any more points.

Maybe if J.J Abrams was taking this project over, it wasn't so bad and actually was more than a 2-3 effects scenes.

Beaufort (2007)

One of the most beautiful israeli films ever
4 May 2007
Beaufort is an impressive israeli movie with fantastic photography and With excellent cast but some of the scenes are stuck and prolonged too Much. Beaufort is a movie that make you look on the other side of the war,of the mental and the physical side of the soldiers.it makes you understand the difficulties, dilemmas and the unbearable fear with some excellent And Impressive action scenes that makes us feel the soldier's situation in the war. This is a movie that can show the world the condition and the position of the Israelis soldiers that know the Israeli-Palestine conflict and can show the human side in the war and not only the wild and savage side.

There aren't any real winners at war but there are real injured and dead soldiers and people. This movie show you.

Bad,Bad And Again,Bad Movie!
5 March 2006
This movie Is Extremely bad. The only thing that i liked was the Tall Clown actor who played very well. The effects were also good and the Makeup was really good. Bad The script and too excessive. I don't know What is the name of the clown actor but again he played well. The movie Started with good Mystery scene but the the movie Scene's were Lost and Not clear enough. The effects were good and invested all along the Movie until the end. One Good more thing was the makeup.specially the Make-up of the clown and tiny who were Maked-up professionally.Like i Said the clown actor played well and Also Sheri moon played well in Sexy role i must say.Leslie Easterbrook who Was Her Mother (in the Movie of course) played very good and by the way She worked and played On the whole Police Academy series's. For addition i think it was Excessive and very bad movie.
