It seems to me that the Heroes writing staff has simply run out of steam. I personally still think the first season of Heroes was probably the best single season of any TV drama in the past decade. However, season 2 was iffy at best and season 3 is proving to be even worse. The writers of Heroes seem to think that the more superpowers, character deaths and reappearances (in one form or another), and blood relationships between characters that are revealed, the better. However, at this point the show is becoming an uninteresting mess of characters in the present and future who flip flop from one moral extreme to the other, often for no explained reason. As this goes on, I find it increasingly difficult to care what happens to any of the heroes (or villains, depending on how you look at it). I had high hopes for this season to revamp the series and leave behind the lackluster plot twists of the second season but despite ignoring many of the events that occurred last fall the show has only managed to come up with more contrived interactions between people with special abilities.
