Hell on Wheels: Eminent Domain (2013)
Season 3, Episode 2

Hopefully this episode is an anomaly.

I've been enjoying binge watching this series and truly hope that this episode is not a sign of things to come. The character developments of each major protagonist and antagonist seem to go off track a bit. Trying to reanalyze each. Haven't been paying attention to who has been doing the major writing. I suspect and hope that they will get the train back on track. Lastly please don't get your theology from this series. There is much to be wanted from its portrayal.

Miami Vice: Out Where the Buses Don't Run (1985)
Season 2, Episode 3

Perhaps the very best of the whole series.

I hadn't seen this episode for decades and was explaining to my son about why I liked Mark Knopfler /Dire Straights so much. Amazed that I could remember so clearly the song heading to the climax. I told him about this episode as I remembered it. (I was wrong about quite a lot!) but I just rewatched it and was stuck how well Bruce McGill nailed it. This is an episode that shows people what TV can rise up to.

Samson (2018)

A sympathetic look at Samson
12 January 2019
This is a very well done story of Samson. It shows a plausible plotline of how the various elements of the story could've worked together. Samson was a flawed judge of Israel but the irony is that none could've done what he did against the Philistines without the kind of interaction that this movie displayed. I recommend it to anyone who desires a closer look at what God did in Israel's history.
