First off I'd like to clarify that after reading a plethora of bad "reviews" on here I've seen that most of them are just homophobic whining and how they are "trying to push a political agenda" which made it very apparent to me that no one who watched this show has even picked up a Batwoman comic. The people who are still uncomfortable with seeing LGBT characters on TV lead a very sad life. It's 2019, grow up.
Batwoman comics are very story driven at their core. It's not just about Batwoman kicking in every panel and showing no emotion. 75 percent of the comic is about Kate's personal and love life. Kate has a pretty rough life and her relationships shape her into who she is.
I'm sorry to the people who went into this show expecting an action packed show 24/7-365. I can see this show going in a very drama orientated route. Now I'll admit I'm still cautious about Ruby... I wouldn't say her acting is horrendous but a TV show never really hit's it's stride till season 3. Actors need time to really become their character. So I have a feeling that as the show progresses Ruby will become more comfortable and relaxed with Kate/Batwoman. I also just don't understand that after ONE episode people are calling it terrible and rating it so low. My rating currently is for the pilot episode itself which wasn't bad but also wasn't mind blowing but I'm excited to see where it goes from her. Batwoman is easily one of my favorite DC heroes and the comics have some of the most gorgeous art and stellar writing.
