A Man in Full (2024)
Sadly not very good
Had high hopes given Jeff Daniel's in the lead role and Regina King's involvement
However, Jeff Daniel's accent difficult to understand, the plot meanders and I don't believe the characters or that this truly reflects America today. I get there has to be poetic license but I couldn't get what this series was trying to achieve. Certainly not great entertainment
Stuck with it for 2.5 episodes but it was too frustrating to watch.
Maybe the people who were in charge of making this are out of step with audiences today as there are much better series being made which probably cost much less money. One to miss.
Deadloch (2023)
A grower, very funny, great crime mystery
After the first couple of episodes I thought I' m interested but the relationship between the two leads was too jarring. I'm so glad I stayed as it develops the story beautifully, the humour of the characters is fabulous and it shapes opinions
The story is interesting, feminists and lesbians leading a narrative that doesn't dominate and delivers a story where all people are equal in love and death
More bodies have turned up with two episodes to go and I have various theories on who the killer is and therein lies one of the success factors here, the writing is so good you are still guessing........
Clarkson's Farm (2021)
An eye opener on the trials of farming nit helped by planners
One of the best shows on tv. It's brilliantly produced. It's funny, it's entertaining and it shows the reality of producing food for the country and the stress in doing so. The shadow cast by planners looms large. Quite how farmers are supposed to diversify when planners and certain mean- minded locals put any barrier in the way is a revelation and the council involved should be held to account here
Jeremy leads his merry band trying to do the best for the farm and farming and he should be commended for it
The programme raises issues central government should take notice of. Fantastic series x.
Harry & Meghan: The Complete Story (2022)
No self awareness and all one sided. Hardly a documentary, more a puff piece
So it's everyone else at fault. Megan and Harry, promoters of wellness and understanding yet everyone else is at fault and she doesn't speak to her own father. Nothing new here but a real reflection of the issue that Harry was accepting of being the spare until Megan thought they both ought to be very important
I'm sure there have been obstacles and issues but easy to criticise from a mansion. They are not heads of state and who would listen to them had they not been part of the family they now wish to criticise
Why not lead the life of a normal family and stay completely out of sight - please.
SAS Rogue Heroes (2022)
Great drama. Jack O'Vonnell outstanding
Based on history interweaving the characters each with their own demons. Great soundtrack which I believe has been controversial but given the times and risks they were willing to take, anything but an irreverent soundtrack would have worked. Great characters, each beautifully drawn. Jack O'Connell outstanding, he filled the screen each time he appeared but that's not to detract from the other actors, who were also great. The extraordinary stories reflected a world in turmoil and the bravery of the few helped shape outcomes that less wild and brave men may not have been able to achieve.......,.,..
Holding (2022)
I loved this Irish drama
I loved it. The plot, the characters and performances were all touching. Some really moving scenes. I can't understand why some critics scored it so low. But then, they're critics and not the writers who craft such good stories and screenplays. Well done Graham Norton and the scriptwriters who brought his story to life.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall? (2022)
Utterly marvellous
The writing, the characters, the humour. All characters so well observed. One of the best series ever written. Every detail of the period so well observed. And the clothes, yes the clothes...
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
Season 4 writing absolutely cracking
There are no weak seasons for this show and the writing is fantastic. This season no exception with some fabulous scenes and one liners from all characters.
The Larkins (2021)
A different take and it's a great one
Was worried it could never match 'Darling Buds' but it's a totally different take and I absolutely loved it. Great script and performances. Bradley Walsh, I loved you.

Morden i Sandhamn (2010)
Great series. Can't wait for more
I've really enjoyed watching all episodes. Hope they go back after covid, to 3 episodes per series
Good acting, great scenery.
COBRA (2020)
Robert Carlyle wrong and poor script
I looked forward to seeing Robert Carlyle but sadly he couldn't pull off the role, completely lacking gravitas required and staring into the middle distance isn't acting. Otherwise the script and plotting just weren't good enough. David Haig stoke the show
After Life (2019)
Deals with grief but filled with laugh out loud moments
Brilliant script. Hilarious one liners. Touching, moving, binge watched it and sad when I ran out of episodes. Bring on series two
Endeavour: Degüello (2019)
Utterly brilliant
The relationship between Morse, Thursday, Bright,Strange and the coroner works so well, especially the relationship between Morse and Thursday. Acting superb. Last episode was a real treat. Bring on the next series
Warren (2019)
Hilarious
Lots of laugh out loud moments. Love it. Martin Clunes hilarious
