Mission: Impossible (1996)
Lots of action packed fun!
Mission: Impossible is a brilliant classic. The action, adventure, casting, gadgetry and everything was a load of fun. Cruises Ethan Hunt was sharp, intelligent and made the film what it is. Amazing! There is a bit of comedy thrown in there as well, but it's mainly focused on the action. Speaking of the action, it was brilliant. The gun play, a frickin helicopter in a train tunnel, brilliant! John Voights villain was an unexpected one. He died, then we meet him in a later scene, it's revealed that he caused the deaths of the other agents and faked his own, that was a shocker! Recommend for anyone really! Great fun, an instant classic. Recommend for ages 8+.
Collateral (2004)
Dark and thrilling. Cruise and Foxx were perfect.
Collateral (in short) is a film about a cab driver who drives around a hit-man in LA, which results in dark conflicts. Cruise portrays Vincent (the hit-man) perfectly as a dark mysterious man and Foxxs Max is portrayed perfectly as a man who is kept in the unknown and is very concerned for his own well being and, later on, a lawyers. The film itself is brilliant. The directing was obviously top notch. I've never really gotten into crime thrillers but this I'll make an exception for this film. Recommend for crime/thriller fans. I would say suitable for about 12+. Definitely a film to watch again. Be warned, it can get confusing if you don't concentrate.
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011)
I haven't even watched the film and I know it's absolute trash
I have never watched the film (ha! I said never!) but I know for a fact that it is trash pants rubbish awful terrible horrible hell stupid pointless idiotic and generally Justin Bieber. I wish someone would just kill the guy. His voice drives me crazy. Stupid little screaming fangirls can't see past looks (Justin Bieber is ugly anyway) and don't notice his little girly voice. I wish people would appreciate REAL music like: Queen, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, AC/DC and Bon Jovi. Beliebers, go see this movie and then hate Justin Bieber. People who hate Justin Bieber don't watch this film. Just don't waste your time or money. JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS! JUSTIN BIEBER SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
An Amazing Sequel
I had very high expectations on this sequel as The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) was an amazing film. This film exceeded my expectations. The action was brilliant, casting and special effects were amazing and there was a great use of comedy thrown in there too. Many people say that there was too many villains in the film but I don't see how 3 villains is too much! Speaking of villains, the villain choices were great, Electro's big screen debut was an amazing one as was the Rhino's, and the Green Goblin, I think, was not as good as the Willem Dafoe Goblin but a close second. A VERY close second. One downer was that they killed Gwen Stacey. I didn't like that as she is a strong female character in the Spider-Man universe and much much better than MJ Watson but, if they want to follow the comics, then I guess the Death of Gwen Stacey comic is a brilliant one to follow. Overall, I think The Amazing Spider-Man is truly amazing and I do look forward to The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in 2016 and The Amazing Spider-Man 4 in 2018!
Man of Steel (2013)
Loved every minute of it!
I must say I am not a big fan of the old superman movies. But when I heard that they were remaking it, I had high expectations. It exceeded those expectations and was a brilliant movie. Sure, lots of it was fighting but so what! At least it had a good storyline to go with it!
I also love the actors who portrayed the characters (Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon etc.) because they played those characters wonderfully! Believe me when I say this, but Henry Cavill did as good job as Christopher Reeve. I know I said I wasn't a big fan of the old Superman films but Christopher Reeve did still do excellent!
The special effects I must say were spectacular. They made Krypton look so cool! Also the end fight between Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) in Metropolis was so amazing! The laser eyes looked very realistic (I know you can't get laser eyes in real life but I'm just saying it looks real!) and the destruction they left looked very real.
I recommend this film to any DC comics fan or even Marvel comics fans and anyone looking for a good movie to watch!
Batman: Arkham City (2011)
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE this game so much! So much action! So much adventure! SO! MUCH! FUN!!!!!!! The gadgets that you get to use are so cool! The villains you face or so awesome but deadly! Arkham City is perfect for Batman Fans and DC fans and marvel fans might like it to. The graphics are great and the game play is amazing. The levels are great because you always have to travel through Arkham city to get their. The levels are interesting and challenging and the side missions are equally challenging and fun! I recommend this game for all DC fans and people looking for challenging action games. I say this game is suitable for 10+.
The Lorax (2012)
I was embarrassed watching it
Why did they make this film? It's pants! Seriously though, who would want to watch a film about a boy who goes out to get a "real" tree just to get some girl? It's stupid! The beginning song (a song about their town "Sneedville" or something like that) is annoying and stupid and the townspeople can't sing and makes Alvin and the chipmunks sound not annoying. I was actually embarrassed watching it! It's an insult to Dr Seuss fans. You WILL be insulted by watching this if you are a Dr Seuss fan because it is pointless, rubbish, pants, embarrassing and just a load of junk. This film just ruined Danny DeVito's career and I am sorry for him. Only watch it if you are aged from 3years to 6years. If you are not, DO NOT WATCH! If you watch it and it is sooooo bad, don't tell me I didn't warn you.....
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
A not-so-unexpected masterpiece!
I love it! The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a brilliant start to an amazing trilogy. As epic as the Lord of the Rings, every second of the film I was amazed with the acting, the scenery, the special effects, everything! The casting was perfect and everything was perfect. I loved the scenes when Gandalf, Bilbo and the dwarfs try to escape from the misty mountains from the goblin king and his minions. The scene when Bilbo was playing riddles with Gollum was very dark and eerie because Gollum is sometimes no where to be seen and you have no idea what he will do. I do recommend this film for any LotR fan because if you like LotR, you will like The Hobbit. I can't wait to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug because it looks EPIC! Like I said, this film is a masterpiece. Why? All because of the great cast and Peter Jackson's wonderful job as director. Definitely WATCH THIS FILM AND WATCH IT SOON!!!!!!
Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012)
Call of Duty is at it's best
I love this game! I love it! The campaign is great. I love how you switch from 1986 (or is it 1989?) to 2025. The levels are great and very brain-racking.
The Multiplayer is very fun and the maps are great. I love the guns that you get to use and other equipment. The graphics are great and the fights are fun.
Zombies mode is very good and intense. It is quite challenging as well and it's not for the faint-hearted. WARNING!!! I f you have a very young sibling/child/cousin etc. do not let them watch you play zombies because they will poop themselves with fear of the zombies. I recommend this game for any CoD fan of ages 13+.
The Avengers (2012)
Truly Amazing
The Avengers is one heck of a film. It's got loads of action and adventure with a bit of comedy thrown in their as well. The casting was perfect as well! Robert Downy Jr as Iron Man: Amazing. Chris Hemsworth as Thor: Perfect. Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury: Great. Tom Hiddleston as Loki, just wow. He has definitely shown Loki's sly and dangerous personality through his acting. The special effects were brilliant especially during the battle at Manhattan. Lots of explosions were their too! The Jatari (Loki's army) looked great and a little bit freaky as well. That is what you need to make a good evil alien army. The comedy was effective especially after hulk and Thor defeated the big..... um well alien thingy and then hulk just randomly punched Thor out of the picture. Great! I recommend this film to everyone, especially for Marvel fans and even for DC fans as well.
Lego the Lord of the Rings (2012)
Great Fun!
I am a massive fan of both LotR and Lego so when I heard it was going to be a Lego video game of it, I just had to get it! Unfortunately I couldn't but luckily I got for my Bday so all was good. Anyway, the game itself is amazing in all areas. Graphics were great, the levels were fun to play, the characters were all different which was good. This enabled me to try different abilities and try out different weapons as the different characters. My personal favourite level is the battle at Helms Deep. this is because their are so many Uruk-Hai to decapitate and kill and you get to play as awesome characters (Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and King Théoden). I recommend this game to any LotR fans or Lego fans because this is one fun game!
