The Most Canceled Man in America (2022)
Surprisingly well done
Generally you wouldn't have high expectations for political documentaries centered around a single activist, especially when the federal government is the opposition for the activist. I can think of a handful of documentaries of this sort that really fail to humanize the people involved. They often end up trying to build base-line inauthentic character profiles.
But in this film, they don't ever need to 'characterize' this Nick Fuentes guy, because his story actually seems to be genuine. Perhaps it's a charisma thing, but the person appears far more authentic than the average politically-minded activist. He's like a real person, to a degree where I felt it and said, "Okay this is different." If this was engineered by Mr. Escandon, then hats off to him.
Some of the contents indicate to me that the man is not simply "cancelled," but actively targeted. It is jarring to think that these things could happen to a young guy that has essentially done nothing to deserve it.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
lazy, lacking awareness, insulting the audience
I generally enjoy marvel based projects, but this is just so bad that I refuse to believe there was even an attempt to make this a good series. I would sooner believe that it was made poorly on purpose.
Perhaps it was designed to be marketed in the following sense: "People You Don't Like Are Hating This New Series."
I think we've all seen this play out before. It's the only explanation for why the writing and even the visual effects are so lazy and low quality. Of course a series like this is going to contain left-prog messaging. What is bizarre is that the messaging is so overt and ineffective that it feels insulting. It's as if they expect the viewer to be an empty minded robot waiting for its programming. This is why I seriously consider whether this was engineered to be bad.
Santa Inc. (2021)
Negative IQ
The humor amounts to excessive swearing and crass statements. The first time it's jarring, every time after that is cringe and forced. The message is the very typical "white men are a problem" propaganda. If you have a problem with this propaganda, you get accused of holocaust denial. How do these very moronic people have any financial backing to make this trash in the first place? You can't have high expectations when you see the bottom of the barrel people involved in this. Have a look at the background and personal beliefs of the creators and it'll become quite clear what this is.
Gold Rush: Freddy Dodge's Mine Rescue (2021)
I've seen everything from the Gold Rush franchise
This one is the best and it's not even close. If they don't make more I'll be furious.
Naked Attraction (2016)
degenerate garbage
The existence and success of this show is proof that britbongers are culturally defunct degenerates. Beyond that, the show is just cringe inducing.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
If it wasn't called Star Trek.
If you can separate this show from the Star Trek franchise and view it as it's own space drama, It's not bad at all, a solid 5/10. If you can separate this show from the show's producer's political agenda, I'd put it at 6.5/10.
It's more like the recent "Star Trek" movies, than any previous Star Trek show. 7 episodes in and we have almost zero character development, just a long story arc centered around one character. It's a cool show, it just isn't Star Trek. If you want a closer Star Trek feel, check out The Orville. It's basically a parody of past trek shows, but it's very fun.
I have not yet given up on this show, but I am very very concerned with how the plot will develop when the producers claim that the Klingons are an allegory to "White Nationalists" and "Make America Great Again", with the Federation as an allegory to some kind of imperialistic trump resistance political movement. If you watch the show and you are not insane, you won't see this "allegory", and If this show devolves into blatant politic propaganda, it will fail very quickly. With politics obsessed and deranged Hollywood brainlets on board, I am concerned about the star trek franchise ending up with another decade and a half TV hiatus.
