Food Choices (2016)
One Truly Great Film!
This is amongst my favourite films of all times. It talks about three major areas, health, environment, and animal ethics and the leading cause which is animal agriculture and the solution which is to eat plant-based vegan - no animal products at all. It features many prominent people in the movement, doctors, activists, athletes, chefs, musicians and more. The narrator/filmmaker, Michal Siewierski talks about his own journey to plant-based eating and how it connected him not only to his own health, but to the health of the planet, and to other living beings. The cinematography, music, and editing is extremely professional and assembled very nicely. I highly recommend everyone watches this beautiful work of art. - Michael Lanfield, Author of The Interconnectedness of Life, The Journey, and The Lost Love
Racing Extinction (2015)
Very muddle and confusing message
I just finished watching Racing Extinction. It did have some good points and even touched a small bit on animal agriculture, but it totally missed veganism as the solution to stopping species extinction. Though, I give the filmmakers a plus for the very amazing underwater cinematography, many of the featured guests called animals "its" and "things". And there is a confusing mixed message and no solution to the problem. Because the message is so muddled, when people finish watching the film, it leaves them feeling depressed with no hope for the future. We need to understand that animal agriculture is the problem, and the solution is to be vegan. That is what they entirely missed.
Unity (2015)
Don't Listen to the Negative Reviews. This is the Best Film Ever!
The documentary film UNITY is an incredible one. I am not even sure how to explain it. It is a film about getting people to see that all beings and things are essentially all one. We are in all other beings. It is a film about love, tragedy and hope. It is a film that dives into perceptions, opposites and tries to awaken the love in people's hearts that we have lost since infancy. It is love that connects all of us to all other living things. We are in everyone and that is why when we kill another, we also kill a part of ourselves. The narration from 101 celebrity narrators is woven in perfectly through the chorus of voices acted as one, and the music from Jonsi and Alex was dramatic, yet powerful accompaniment to the film. The movie flowed perfectly from one scene to the next with the combining music, narration, and footage of such inspiration and awe. I highly recommend everyone watching the film.
Revolution (2012)
Poor Film! Doesn't Address Real Cause of Devastations
I saw this film in the theatre and I have to say that I wasted my money. I watch a lot of documentary films and have an open mind about everything. Though there were a few good points in the film, they missed the whole point. Conservation is not the answer, though conservation is good, it is the not solution. What people don't understand is that most problems that we are faced with on the planet is because of the violence we cause to ourselves, non-human animals and nature. All of the problems starts with the animal foods we shove down our throats and doesn't matter how the animals are raised or treated, using and killing another being sows the same in humans. People don't want to believe that eating and using animals is the crux of it all. We want to continue abusing, torturing and killing animals and believe the problems has nothing to do with animal foods. Just picture this. If humans are consuming animals, their dead bodies and secretions, the fear, anger, trauma, depression, boredom and sickness and all the animals other experiences and emotions, don't just fly away somewhere in thin air, they are transferred to us. And because we eat all their emotions and experiences, we experience the same in our lives and the world around us. Why is it that the majority of humans, that eat animal foods, experiences the same fear, violence, trauma, depression and sickness etc. just like the animals? When will we ever learn that veganism will indeed save ourselves and the world. Not to mention all the animal lives that are spared when we become vegan. I talked about this to Rob Stewart and again like everyone else he gave a stupid justification for continuing the violence on helpless beings. Come on people, wake up!
