Krampus (2015)
OK movie for the main stream horror crowd.
I thought it was an OK movie, but a little to childish for my taste. It was like a horror movie meets Gremlins, or Elf meets Horror. I liked Adam Scott and I always love David Koechner. It was kind of creepy at times and kind of childish and corny at other times. They tried to throw in the theme that if you don't believe in Christmas this will happen to you. Where they trying to preach at America for not believing in Christmas anymore? I don't know.
I would say if you are into great horrors like Last House on the left, The cabin in the woods, this might be too corny for your taste.
I kind of left the movie thinking was I suppose to be 9 to enjoy that movie.
I Origins (2014)
I loved this movie, one of the best I have seen in a few years.
First off the movie had a cool premise, he was trying to disprove god by genetic engineering. Thus proving evolution.
The girl who played Sofi was absolutely beautiful and I liked her personality in the movie, and you get to see some nudity from this beautiful girl. Nice surprise.
The story progressed nicely, Brit Marling played his lab assistant, and she was really cool and good looking also with some smarts to go along with it.
The ending of the movie gave me chills, which is a good thing. Just an all around great movie. Can't find any faults.
The D Train (2015)
Could not even make it to the end
I started watching this thinking hey I love Jack Black and James Marsen is always good, how can you go wrong.
The story was pretty weak to begin with, and Jack Blacks character was so pathetic it was almost uncomfortable. I was sticking with it still not the worst movie I have ever seen.
But once the homosexual stuff started I was out, I just really don't like watching movies with two dudes making out and having butt sex. I know we are all suppose accept it now, but I can't watch it and don't want to watch it. So off the movie went and I don't know how it ended and it was bad enough that I don't care.
Against the Sun (2014)
I agree about fake reviews
The beginning made it look cheap right of the bat. Odd beginning should have worked in the old Wwii footage later.
The story is OK at best, the cgi is terrible the cgi shark was laugh out loud weird never seen a shark look that bad. The the soundtrack is odd for a war movie, it just struck me as to upbeat. Did the director find a friend to do the music cheap?
The acting is not bad. I like the captain as an actor last house on the left great movie.
No way people are giving this 9's that's why I agree about the fake reviews. Half way through the movie I was thinking I better check the reviews again something is not right. Haha
