Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
Cheesy, goofy & fun.
A bunch of kids have super powers.
It doesn't need to blow you away, just enjoy it for what it is, a family friendly superhero movie, it doesn't take itself seriously & it knows it.
My only critisism is the main villain is quite a let down.
The movie ends with a SUPER Justice League cameo.
Also, if you dont understand the end credits cameo - they are from the TV show "Peacemaker" - If you haven't seen it, Peacemaker is from "The Suicide Squad"
It' a shame that the DCU is being rebooted as some of the current characters deserved to stay.
All in all a decent movie, just dont expect too much from it & you may enjoy it.
Marvel's Avengers (2020)
Brilliant game (Day 1 player)
Story mode is decent.
Great combat, each hero is like a whole game.
The gear is very good.
Free DLC heroes & missions.
Amazing graphics, especially in 4K HDR.
Multiplayer mode is quite a grind, so co-op with friends is recommended.
The game can be very buggy, so playing on next gen consoles / high end PC is recommended.
If you are patient & like grindy co-op games then you will enjoy it.
If you just want an empty & boring, single player open world game, then you wont enjoy it..
This game has a bad reputation because it had a broken release but I have been playing with 3 random guys I never met & we been freinds ever since... 3 years later we are still a squad.
Get some friends, I reccomend you give it a go.
Mayor of Kingstown (2021)
S1 = WOW
Season 1 is BRILLIANT.
I have not seen a show this gripping in a VERY long time, cast are amazing, writers are legit talented.
Ms Mclusky is by far the MOST irritating character I have ever seen on TV, followed closely by the prison warden.
Great writing & acting!
The only worry is, how on earth do you make this show even better in season 2?
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
DC's ArrowVerse done the MultiVerse better.
Its basically a horror movie
Wanda vs Dr Strange is awesome.
Wong is fine.
America Chavez is meh.
Special effects are brilliant!
Cameos are good but wasted.
Dont bother with End Credits.
No Loki considering its about the multiverse
No multiverse cameos from old marvel movies like Magneto, Quicksilver, Wolverine, Deadpool, Vision, Ghost-Rider, Blade or Spider-Man.
Snowfall (2017)
Meh
The show is "Inspired" by the rise of Crack Cocaine in the 80's & how the CIA were selling drugs in America to fuel civil wars in other countries.
Unfortunately it is not based on a true story, just inspired by historical events.
Its a good show all round, however it becomes predictable.
Spider-Man (2018)
Doesn't innovate.
The gameplay is exactly the same as "The Amazing Spider-Man 1&2" released many years ago, it just has a few new bells & whistles.
I am only playing this for the story, the most overhyped game ever.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Great but not perfect.
Great movie overall.
My 4 complaints that made this 5/10.
1. Too many talking scenes.
2. Too much explaining everything.
3. No Sinister 6, Villainous Five maybe?
4. Tobey Maguire didn't want to return, it shows in his performance.
5. End credits removes Venom from MCU.
Other than that I enjoyed it very much.
Black Widow (2021)
Mediocore at best
Morale of the movie is Men Bad, Ladies Good.
Too much talking & emotion.
Ray Winstone is awful in this, his russian accent is terrible.
Taskmaater is just another rubbish marvel villain.
Feels like this is just too little, too late.
Ted Lasso (2020)
It's alright
It's not Hilarious, it has its moments.
It's got heart.
I'd like to see more On-Pitch comedy.
All in all, pretty good.
For All Mankind (2019)
It's not real
Set in an Alternate Reality.
BRILLIANT SHOW.
Reminds me of 'The Man In The High Castle'
Pennyworth: The Lion and Lamb (2021)
What on Earth
I understand this is set within the Batman 'Mythos'.
But Holy Moly.
Gulliver Troy becomes a Meta Human WTF.
This was so grounded & brilliant.
All the respect I had for this show just died.
Stargate SG-1: Memento (2003)
Love this show but...
This episode gets a 1 for only one reason.
At the end of the Ep they activate the Stargate, expect you can see the Stargate in the corner of the screen & nothing happens ... Hahaha Mistake indeed.
Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Ahead of it's time
I had heard this show was actually soft disclosure of the UFO subject & had info given to it by a secret space programme insider, so checked it out.
(Especially with everything being De-Classified)
(Gov seeing UFO's - Space Force etc.)
(as of 2021)
I admit some of the CGI & costumes can be a little out dated
However, this was made in the 1990's & TV wasn't given a huge budget compared to movies then.
That being said it's amazing, really well directed & written, very realistic.
Even Don S David (Gen Hammond) was military - RIP
It has everything... Space, Aliens, Science, Wormholes, Ancient History, Technology, Biology, Sociology, Time Travel, Time Loops, Politics, Suicide, Racial identity issues, Viruses, Quarantines & so so much more.
(even things that have now become real, i.e technology & science that didn't exist in the 90's)
(Maybe the rumours of secret leaks were true)
I rate this franchise higher than any Sci-Fi one
(Star Wars, Star Trek, Starship Troopers, X-Files, The Expanse etc.)
I highly recommend watching.
Project Power (2020)
Surprisingly good
Netflix usually make terrible movies.
This is actually one of, if not their best big movie.
Better than Bright.
Like Amazon's "The Boys"
it's a "If Superpowers were in the real world"...
Hope there's a sequel or 2...
Treadstone (2019)
Ignore the Negative Comments
Went Into this thinking it would be rubbish.
It was brilliant & i ended up binging all of season 1.
Saddened to hear it had been Cancelled.
Ends on some Cliffhangers.
I could even see future season where Jason Bourne & Arron Cross Team up to Take down Treadstone once & for all...
Must watch for any Jason Bourne Fan.
Man on Fire (2004)
Fav Movie
This is one of / my fav movie ever.
I even bought the Steelbook.
Ending always makes me (a full grown man) cry.
American Pie Presents: Girls' Rules (2020)
Trash
Rule #1 never watch a American Pie spinoff.
Only watch the main 4 movies.
I havent seen Band Camp, Naked Mile, Beta House or Book of Love.
I wont be watching this trash either.
The Umbrella Academy (2019)
Trash
1st series was half ok.
Season 2 is just the same repeated but with forced SJW rubbish.
The era of Superhero Movies & TV is slowly dying.
Pennyworth (2019)
Really enjobale
I had been putting this off for a while because i thought this would be rubbish.
1st episode is very good, i will watch the rest.
Heard season 2 is coming, all i would ask for is more to be filmed in the UK as i noticed a few CGI "Hollywood" Sets
The Wire (2002)
Gets Worse & Worse
I honestly have no idea why this gets such high reviews.
I also have no idea why i watched all 5 seasons.
I was bored during lockdown & binged it all.
Be prepared, every season is VERY slow.
S1 - Worth a watch
S2 - S1 repeated with new scene
S3 - Wraps up S1 loose ends
S4 - Absolutely terrible
S5 - Even worse, don't bother
Stargirl (2020)
Ppor quality
Poor writing, poor editing, poor acting & forced SJW BS
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The New Deal (2020)
Copying DC's Legends of Tomorrow
Season 7 Has Basically Copied DC' Comic's & The CW's ArrowVerse Show "Legends of Tomorrow"
Which is One of DC's Most Popular Shows
Also Incorrect Depiction of the 1930's
Only Making it More Diverse to Suit Disney's Political Agenda
I Understand It's a Fictional Universe But Still
Marvel Mania is Over
it Died With Avengers: Endgame.
Black and Blue (2019)
Good Movie, Bad Directing
It's a Good Movie With Good Acting.
However... Main Character Is Supposed To Be Ex-Army & Done 2 Tours Of Afganistan, Yet She Is Terrified Of Gangsters & Doesn't Think to Pick Up Police & Gangsters Guns ... Errr Ok?
I Blame The Director For Not Having A Clue How A Military Officer Would React.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Ending Ruined It For Me
Evwrything Was Great... Until The End
So Han's First Love Had The Chance To Run Away & Live Happily Ever After
But Chose To Serve Darth Maul?
Err What?
They Should Have Just Killed Her Off
Totally Ruined The Whole Movie For Me.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Don't understand The Hate?
I'm Not a Very Big Star Wars Fan, That Being Said I've Seen Them All...
This Is By Far The Best One I've Ever Seen.
Very Enjoyable Movie In My Opinion
