Interview with the Vampire (2022)
Thrilling!
What a pleasant surprise to an old tale. Lestat de Lioncourt is as horrifying as you would think a people-eating monster would be and Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac is excellent in this role. The casting, score, set design, costumes, and storytelling have done the original film justice and have taken not only the vampire genre but the cinematic version of the story to another level... a higher level. I recommend giving the show a watch if you are interested in watching something new and told from a perspective you don't often hear from, a Creole Black man in the south in 1910. I'm only two episodes in and writing a review... Something that I don't usually do so you know it's good.
TV in Black: The First Fifty Years (2004)
I learned a lot.
It was informative and entertaining. It's nice to watch something like this in 2020 and see how much further we've come since I was a kid in 2004 when this came out. ✊🏿
