The Evil Within (2014 Video Game)
5/10
Couldn't have said it better myself - too hard to be fun.
16 February 2015
The Evil Within is without a doubt the hardest game I've ever played. I played on the normal difficulty and halfway through the game (8 hours) I had died maybe 80 times. I play a lot of video games and am pretty decent at them, so this tells me that this game is flat out way too hard.

Enemies take too many shots to die and kill you too quickly, you don't get much supplies, and checkpoints are too few and far between. Dying on average sends you back 15 minutes where you have to do the same repetitive things again. Combat is fun (feels like The Last of Us) but doing the anything over and over again can become boring.

Mix in a confusing story with boring characters, tons of insanely hard boss battles and many glitches throughout, this game simply is not worth your time.

An excellent two-part DLC
26 August 2014
Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea takes you back down to Rapture, the place that started the Bioshock franchise, for a two part DLC. It ties together the Bioshock Infinite game and the entire franchise. And it does it extremely well, for the most part. The first episode is definitely the weaker of the two, but that doesn't mean it's not a lot of fun. It's only 90 minutes, and it's story is a little predictable (can't really give details about the story without ruining it) but still the same fun Infinite game play in Rapture makes it worth it. The second episode is amazing. It's five hours long and filled to the brim with plot twists (again, can't give much details without ruining the story). There is a new game play in the second episode and that's sneaking. You can sneak through the entire game and not kill a single enemy. Also there's great elements to it, like certain thing on the floor (glass, water) let enemies hear you and a vigor that allows you to become invisible. The second episode's story is great and it really sells the package. Overall, if you've played Bioshock Infinite, you really should play this because it ties up the story and it's also a blast to play.

BioShock Infinite (2013 Video Game)
10/10
One of the greatest game I have ever played
24 August 2014
I have played the first two Bioshocks. The first one I enjoyed although I thought somethings were frustrating and it dragged on. The second Bioshock I did not enjoy. It was too short and too much like the first one. Well this game takes a completely different turn on the series and it becomes an absolutely incredible game. You play as Booker, a troubled man sent to the floating city of Columbia to "bring us the girl and wipe away the debt". What seems like a simple rescue mission turns into an extremely complex story, as you learn more about Booker, Elizabeth (the girl who you go to Columbia to get) and Comstock, the prophet of Columbia. Overall, the story is fantastic, it keeps you on your toes and has a huge plot twist ending that will leave your jaw dropped. The game play is what you should expect from Bioshock, with guns and vigors, blasting away enemies. This game is a lot more fast paced with tons of more combat than the first two Bioshocks. Some people may not enjoy that, but I loved it. The guns and vigors are all super fun to use. The musical score is great, the characters are great. Everything about this game is great, so go purchase it now, because it's better than the first two Bioshocks.
