Moonhaven (2022)

The first time I tried to watch "Firefly" I didn't like it, now it is a classic.

Why? They talked funny, they cursed in Chinese and I had trouble understanding what was going on. Of course it was happening hundreds of years from now. Now it is a classic and an inspired science fiction show. It was original and unique. So is "Moonhaven". The "moonies" do act and talk different though the "earthers" talk more "normal". But wouldn't people in a hundred years talk different than us, have different ways of saying things. Give this a chance; it is unique and different. I also didn't like "The Expanse" at first because they "talked different".

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

Dexter was careful and researched all of his victims to make sure that they deserved what he did to them. He was never sloppy and was very detailed about everything. This new show which I had high hopes for did not do justice to the original show.

Dexter would not have killed the cop/coach to get out of jail, it would have been too much of a violation of his code. He would not have been so sloppy in his killing of Matt and would have done more research. He would have removed the screws & plate before incinerating the body. He was a forensic specialist with many years of experience so he would not have done things like he did in this series. It just was not up to par with the original series which made it very disappointing particularly the ending. If I had known it was a one season show, I probably would not have watched it.

Fast Color (2018)

I thought this was well done, a sleeper.

I did not find this movie slow at all and I thought the movie told the story really well. It is not a Marvel movie or an action movie, it has so much character and the situation of what is going on is implied, not spelled out. I really enjoyed it and I really hope there is a sequel.

They outdid themselves with this episode. I was really sad about Hop's death. I want to thank the reviewers who said to stay for the credits, I would not have seen that final clip. I went back and watched it. I love all the 80's references in Stranger Things, I was a young adult during that period and remember so many of these things. I will probably go back sometime and rewatch Season 3 just as I have with the other seasons. I love Stranger Things, every season, every episode. I disagree with those who complained the first three episodes were boring. Those episodes were important to the story and characters and to show how they have changed and grown.

Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019) Season 8, Episode 3

WOW, SO INTENSE, INCREDIBLE, EXCITING.

The most amazing long battle episode of any show I have ever seen without being boring because they keep switching to major characters to show where they are at in the battle. Incredible, emotional, intense, and without exception it is a total 10. It is so much to take in. I will have to watch it a couple more times. So much happens and the time just flies and leaves you wanting more, but have to wait till next week. This is the culmination of everything from the very first episode that it has all been building towards; the Evil Ice King. I am breathlessly await for what comes next; so exciting. Next time I watch it I will set my TV a bit brighter so I can see more in the dark though I was able to follow most of it. If it was too dark for you, try changing the settings on your TV and rewatch it.

Caught in Providence (2000– )

Really Original Show

Before writing negative things about Judge Caprio, read his biography, here and on wikipedia and other sites. He is legitimate. He is a lawyer and a judge in Providence, Rhode Island. These are real cases not just acting as many "judge" shows are. He is entertaining to watch and very compassionate to those appearing in his court. It was just a small local show for years before it became syndicated. He is also a philanthropist and supports many good organizations.

I love these kinds of shows and season one was just the setup for season 2 which was brilliant and exciting. But after the ending I just cannot wait for season 3. I don't want to watch TV shows about real life doctors, hospitals, politics, highschool, crime, or anything like that. I want to entertained and distracted from all the those kinds of realities. I can see all those dramas on the news everyday and I do. I want action, escapism, adventure and characters that I can relate to and this show really does it for me.

A Lot of Trolls

What is IMBD going to do about the Russian Troll Bots that try to ruin the honest reviews of movies and other stuff on IMBD? It makes it hard to take these reviews seriously and it ruins the shows for those who do take the ratings seriously and use them to decide if they are actually going to watch something. This is not right and IMBD needs to act on it, please. I loved all of the new Star Wars Movies, no they are not perfect but very entertaining including this one, with some really great characters.

This episode had one of the laugh out loud funny scenes in it that I have had to rewind it 6-7 times just to see it again. It is toward's the end when Holden's brother is trying to excape from the room he has been locked in and ..... If you watch it, I hope you see it too. It just really hits my funny bone, like slapstick. Maybe it's just me but I hope someone else saw it like I did. You know, the eggs benedict? Right?

Z Nation (2014–2018)

What a fun show!

I really enjoy this show, it is humorous and doesn't take itself too seriously. I don't analyze TV and movies like some reviewers do. I just know what I enjoy and what I find entertaining. I have a strong leaning towards SciFi and fantasy but I like other stuff too. I watch shows/movies to be entertained and for escape. If I want reality I read the news and politics. If I want inspirational or spiritual I know where to find that too. I really enjoyed the first season and have started the second season, what fun. Give it a try, just don't analyze it, enjoy. It is not like The Walking Dead, it is kind of the opposite. This show has a lot more humor and tongue in cheek and do listen for the innuendos. There is some social comment but it is very light. Just have fun with it.

I don't really understand why there are so many bad reviews of this show. I really am enjoying it and I have watched 8 episodes so far. I don't try to tear apart and analyze what I am watching. I just know if I am enjoying the story and it is holding my attention. The 10 rating is a little high but it is to counteract all the negative reviews.

I like shows that draw me in and hold my attention and have exciting stories particularly SciFy. These are my escape. I if I want reality I will watch the news or read it which I do a lot of.

I hope this gets a second season. Most shows are hard to judge on a regular TV channel because there are so many commercial interruptions, about 20 minutes of each hour or more. So if I like it I will stream it usually from Amazon, it is worth it to me.
