An American Werewolf in London (1981)
The best movie in the running for the top
An American Werewolf in London is awesome. I'm watching it now, David Kessler (gorgeous young hunk that he was) is about to turn into the werewolf for the first time.
Excellent music. Compares to no other movie but the Rocky Horror Picture Show as a cult classic.
Ever poignant, whimsical and borderline scary the first time you view it, it's well worth 90 minutes of your time.
We get to see the mastermind Frank Oz of Muppets fame at work, and we get to see David Kessler transformed into a werewolf.
Rated: 100 stars
Hitch Hike to Hell (1977)
It's a true grade b classic ...
LOL I'm watching this movie right now; I think it's a perfect time waster.
Being a true B movie fan, this movie meets all the requirements of B movie fans. It requires no concentration becuz it has no story line, and watching that Gribbin guy have seizures over memories of the rapes and murders he commits is hilarious. Also hilarious is his mother. No wonder he kills women.
It's great when he has murder flashbacks and freaks out.
Russell Johnson is prime in the role of Chief Investigating officer.
You should definitely watch it if you wanna kill some worthless time.
Fat Actress (2005)
I wanted Kirstie to have a hit with this show~!
Okay, when I saw the first episode, I thought for sure she would be back on top (which is where she wanted to get with the black network exec, kid rock, and who knows who else!) I thought the show is ahead of it's time, funny, witty, stupid, and made you forget about your own fat, miserable, sexless life sleeping on your $39.95 bedsheets (150 count) from Zeller's) I was gravely disappointed when I heard it was cancelled... I think it deserved a second season, at least.
I think with a second season we would have seen the cast put more polish on the show overall. I think they would have tweaked out the hilarious scenarios that (apparently) offended just about everybody (gays, crack addicts, fatties, bulimics, midgets, preggos, etc); we would have had a good time watching this fat actress.
Go, Kirsite~!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
Rocky Horror will rock forever!
The Rocky Horror picture show is unquestionably the most original, quixotic, most fun you can possibly have in one place... Over and over and over. I was about thirteen when the Rocky Horror h it the Roxy on Bloor Street in Toronto. It was a surrealistic experience, (still is more than twenty five years later) with everyone decked out ala Frank'n'furter, Brad & Janet, Rocky Horror (you didn't see too many of those in the winter!), Magenta, etc... all of them. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, that you can bestow upon anyone;(particularly with this cast of considerable nobodies, four of whom grew into very famous people - I don't know about the rest). Even though and especially since it was outlandish, tacky, harmless, fun, made it all the more memorable. Throwing toast all over a theatre is something you wouldn't ordinarily do ANYWHERE you were, but it was okay to do it at the Roxy. I've seen the movie and heard my CD thousands of times, but it only continues to top my list of favorites. We salute those who hung out at the Frankenstein Place. And the Roxy.
