2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams (2010)
The maniacs return in a deliciously silly and gory sequel
I saw this at Glasgow Frightfest and although it wasn't completely ready(the lip sync was a little off), I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was obviously completely tongue in cheek with as much corn as possible(and I mean that in more ways than one, shame on you granny boone).I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one which laid down the background and paved the way for the sequels (hopefully.)
Tim Sullivan came to the screening and was a really nice man though clearly deranged,he took time to talk to me and my son and even posed for a photo ,which unfortunately didn't turn out.
I hope he continues with the maniacs ,let's face it there is another 1,984 Yankees still to pay the price.
The Descent: Part 2 (2009)
dark caves/cannibals/survival/
Sarah manages to escape the caves covered in blood and it not hers the sheriff and his deputy force her to go back to the cave because she cant remember what happened to her and her Friends she soon will wheen the horror all begins and the body count starts to rise the fight
for survival is back on. this is a brilliant second part you can see the director is a fan of the first one he has a good eye for detail it got some excellent gore effects and the story line is believable and thare are no bad actors in it like most horror films fans of the first one will not be disappointed i hope the director keeps up the good work in the future
Grace (2009)
drama horror motherhood
It is about a young couple who are about to have a baby, they already lost one so she is trying to do every thing right. Tragedy strikes when she gets told the baby is dead in her , she decides to carry it full term. She gets a surprise the day she delivers when the baby is alive , not long after the woman is having trouble feeding the baby she soon finds out that it has an unquenchable hunger , just how far will you go for your child . I saw this and met the director at the Glasgow film festival,I found it a very disturbing movie and one of a kind. I was amazed to find this is writer and director Paul Solets first feature film adapted from a short movie.
City of Industry (1997)
city of industry is a good movie but not a patch on the triple cross
City of Industry is a copy of the KINJI FUKUSAKU'triple cross from the director of Battle Royale. City of Industry has got its good moments but it is not a patch on Triple Cross it is almost the same story line with some differences. If I was you I would see the two of them because they are two good movies and will keep you happy to the end Harvey Keitel is a very good actor and he does not disappoint you in this movie ever.Stephen Dorfe plays a very good bad guy and Timothy Hutton is not bad either it is a good revenge movie and not a bad heist movie either, don't get it mixed up with Reservoir Dogs because it is a different type of movie all together except from there being a heist in it but it is more of a revenge movie.
