Refreshing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
26 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! I really did enjoy this movie! A girls journey on finding herself!!! For once in my life despite being a hopeless romantic at heart I didn't want Rani to go back that d-bag of a fiancé.

Finally! a movie with shows what a girl has to face in a desi arranged LOVE marriage (where everyone makes the bride and groom believe that they are in love :-P ). After seeing Zindagi Na mili dobara I was a little unhappy because no one wanted to acknowledge how a modern city girl is silenty manipulated in giving up all her dreams for one man! So desi boys! it's not just you who have to give up a care free life for marital bliss! We girls are as much living and breathing as you are! Enough with my feminist ranting! I say go watch the movie! it's a delight! Kangana Ranaut was AH-MAZING! Thanks God Kareena Kapoor turned down the offer for this movie! ( k.k. as de-glam girl next door MEHHH! What was the director thinking) Someone said in the comment how a big city girl couldn't cross a road, please I am from a big city and trust me many girls live sheltered lives who can't cross roads!!! The movie leaves you feeling good! Go watch the movie if you haven't!

A show to fill your heart with happiness! Must watch for Love comes Softly fans!!!
12 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! Amazing...I stumbled upon the TV movie by accident and from there came to know of the series. Though the lead in the series are different from the TV movie , I adored the young Elizabeth Thatcher and Mountie Edward. I didn't think I would fall in love with the series...but I did. Based on Janette Oke's novel (Where courage calls) , the series is about Elizabeth Thatcher who leaves behind her wealthy background to travel to coal valley to be a teacher. The town that is grieving a recent coal mining accident leaving many of her pupil orphan. While she teaches her pupil life teaches lessons to her. How she embraces her new community and works for them is inspiring...and then there is the Handsome Mounty Jack Thornton...sweet romance.

The show is beautiful, fills your heart with warmth and glowing happiness.

The show has incredible set, costumes, actors and scenery....If you have loved the Love come Softly series you are surely to love this show!

An action movie of this caliber coming out of Pakistani Film industry makes me proud!
13 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I went to see what the hype was about and came out yelling it deserved to be hyped about. Bilal Lashari's Waar was one of the best action movies I have seen in my life! The cinema experience was AH-MAZING!

The movie was amazing because

1.the subject was something we all Pakistani's can relate to i.e. Terrorism 2.the Direction was superb, aerial-shots, crane-shots and more. It was what an action movie is supposed to be , a Rough ride. 3.The acting performances by the lead was great (we already know many as good actors.) 4.The background scores were excellent. 5.All in all it was a wonderful cinema experience.

But i'd really like to point out minor details that I felt were wrong

1.Unnecessary use of English (i'm being a bigot) but some places I felt Urdu could have used equally effectively.(my new found love for urdu dialogues comes from watching an urdu-dubbed Turkish historical/period show)

2.A girl with whose brother just died wouldn't have perfectly teased hair! (sorry can't help being a girl....)

3.Many people from the tribal areas didn't look the part of speak the part. (they didn't look like pashtuns and spoke punjabi) which looked a little weird to me.

4. Mujtuba's back story was clichéd and his wife didn't look part. (she was mother of 8yrs old boy not a runaway model!!!!)

5.From the time Mujtuba figures out that the site for attack is convention center to the time he reaches it no one has bothered to evacuate the place. The climax seemed hasty, I wish it was as executed in a refined way.

6. Ejaz Khan didn't need to die in a bath robe ( I mean Ali azmat is not well in good shape, seeing him drag across the floor was quite unpalatable for me!!!) If I had written the scene, Ramal should have stabbed Ejaz after he discovered his dead wife. Though kidney stab was true to Ramal's psychopathic mind.

7. Why the hell this movie isn't a 3d????why???

Despite all this some real stellar scenes brought tears to my eyes:

especially Police academy scene, because watching the news on TV is one thing but seeing it happen is altogether different.

The other one was Ehtesham driving the explosive truck away, that scene was fabulously done.

GUYS! go and watch this movie in Cinema! The cinema experience is just fabulous.

This movie looks this good in 2d, i imagine what it would have looked in 3d.

The Originals (2013–2018)

Spin off way better that the main show!
12 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
THE ORIGINALS is a show which has amazed me this season more than the main show TVD(I am not comfortable with a girl hopping in love from one brother to another- I like Ian and Nina as couple but not on the show).

The story revolves around Mikealson family i.e. NIKLAUS, ELIJAH AND REBEKKAH. They return to New Orleans 100 years after they were chased out of the city by their father(who wanted to kill them). Upon returning they realize that a vampire KLAUS raised and later sired i.e Marcel is now ruling the city and has complete control over the supernaturals in New Orleans. Klaus finds this a challenge as the one who was sired to be his image has better his own master! Unlike many people I don't mind Klaus redeeming through his child. There are many kind of loves, why not let a man healed by the love of family once than by romantic love (which should come in but not dominate the whole picture!) Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt and Daniel Gillies - the three actors are amazing in this show especially the contrast between the wildness of Joseph Morgan(Klaus)'s character vs the Serenity and sophistication of Daniel Gillies(Elijah) character. This show charms because of the evolving power struggle between super natural world and in a place no less mysterious & magical than NEW ORLEANS!

Hope the creative team doesn't ruin this show with teen-drama and love triangles (involving brothers)! It has the potential to become a power packed show.

Guys give this show a try even if you don't like the main show!
