Deep Water (I) (2022)

Enjoyable film

Good film about toxicity. Affleck is great in this. You could feel his pain, anger, frustration, humiliation and his love for his wife.

Solid 6.5 / 10, this is a high rating from me. Enjoyable watch.

Amateurish and very, very disappointing.

Seriously, one of the worse 'superhero' films of all time and I'm including the Garfield Spider-Man, the last X-men effort and the Green Lantern movie in this evaluation. I can't believe that this script was approved as there was zero drama, zero tension and zero thrills! WW1 was a classic this is a vanity project with all of the nuance of a poorly scripted tv rom-com pilot episode.

A weak unbelievable story
8 March 2019
This movie is as poor as "The amazing Spider-Man 2 ". Captain Marvel has a very weak script, poorly developed characters and a main character that you don't root for, faces no real threat or danger and has an unbelievable power set. Marvel has dropped the ball here. An almost invulnerable character isn't a "hero" because they aren't in danger hence there isn't any "real" tension, drama or threat. I suspect that like me many will see this film because of the towering marvel movies that have gone before and because of the wait for Endgame.

I think this movie is the beginning of the end of the importance and watchabilty of the Marvel cinematic universe. If Captain Marvel is the future then Endgame will be my last participation sadly it wasn't worth the price of the ticket.
