I wasn't really sure about seeing this one, but it was actually a really funny movie

My daughter and I were asked to go and see this movie. It's not normally a film I would choose, but we went, and throughly enjoyed ourselves. It was hysterical, along with actually having a PLOT, as so many comedies tend to leave out now. Even the child actors, who I'd not seen before, played their roles wonderfully...Ice Cube was hysterical all by himself. This movie, was simply written for him to play, and was wonderfully done with the choice of actors and writing.

Definitely a great movie to see, even with the family. It had the romance and comedy to keep all adults laughing in the theater, and really wasn't much language to be concerned about for the children. It kept everyone in the theater laughing non-stop the entire movie.

This truly was the worst movie I have seen in a very long time...

Warning: Spoilers
I took my daughter, 7 (going on 35), out tonight. She loved the movie "The Mask" (for some apparent reason :-)), and was dying to see this one. So, as a surprise, (and then another surprise to myself, that someone had simply put so much money to waste making a movie not worth the tax amount paid to view the movie), I took her tonight, having spent 40 dollars in all to see the most ridiculous movie with simply no acting involved. This was not comedy. Not even slightly funny. I kept checking my cell phone for the time, to find out how much time I had to sit there. I cannot believe I just wasted my time and money on this movie! The "mother", played by Traylor Howard.... I couldn't tell you of any of her other movies, but this was a horrible acting job! And Jamie Kennedy, with what idea did they find that this man would be funny? He is no where near entertaining, more so, an actor. He was simply a horrible actor in a disgraceful movie.... I am not a Jim Carrey fan, by any means, but it would've been a plus to see him in this movie. After this one, WHOEVER these actors are.. cause I simply do not know... only fools would hire them.

I cannot think of ONE funny part from this movie. It was just ridiculous.... I am disgusted with having spent the money that I did for this crap! If I would have put a dollar towards making this film, I would be on the phone now, after seeing it, asking for that dollar back! (**Still trying got figure out how to get my money back just from seeing it:-)**)

My daughter & I just finished buying & watching this movie & thoroughly enjoyed it.

My daughter, 7, & I went out tonight to find a movie that the two of us could enjoy together. She really likes Hillary Duff ( I personally don't mind looking at Oliver James either..what a doll!).

For almost 3 years now, my daughter's dream has been to be on stage, singing, .. That's what she wants more than anything.. I found this movie, and we enjoyed it so much together.

For an insecure child, & at the age where easily influenced to "be as others want tobe" or to a follower.. it actually had such a moral & helped her to dream a little more.

There was no issues of "trying to fit in". Hilary's part portrayed only being herself throughout the entire movie.

There are only a few movies, which Hilary seems to play the type of part in several, where a young girl is not influenced to "belong to a click", (as Lidsney Lohan), or not to dress in provocative manners at such a young age. This movie directs her to dream vs. any of these things. I love that.

My daughter may be 7, but this is definitely the type movie I really love her to see. (& I think she's finally found a bit more musical insight than just Don McLean's "American Pie" :-)Truly a great movie in my opinion, for my daughter & I to enjoy together!
